Google Pixel 6 Pro 128GB $999 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

1100

They've reduced the Google Pixel 6 Pro down to $999, I thought I'd take advantage of the Zip promotion, spend $1000 to get $100 cash back so effectively $900.

Make sure to add a $1 item to take advantage of the Zip promotion.

The vision of you scrambling to take a slips catch as your phone is rapidly sliding off the table had me crying!

128g for $999 phone in 2022 😑 (if it's a iPhone sure, but on Android hell no, 256gig is the sweet spot.)

Anyways certain phones cannot get update 13, something to do with security issues and compatibility issues, that's not to say you can't get 12, and Google's making it harder to downgrade.

    • Typing from my pixel 6 pro with android 13

    • Sorry why is it OK on an iPhone but not Android?

        Because iPhone is dyephone.
        And Android is plethora.

  • On a $1000 phone, there isnt enough margin for free shipping?

  • Don't forget you can also price beat at Officeworks!

If anybody is reading this, I am a Nexus / Pixel fan boy and have had every Google phone except for the first and the Pixel 5 as it wasn't an upgrade. The Pixel 6 Pro that I have had now since launch is the worst experience on a phone I have ever had. Network connectivity issues on Telstra 4G that they are still regularly updating via the Carrier Services app but have yet to fix as well as just plain weird Android 12 bugs. The problem I have is that even with these issues I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've got no interest in Samsung and I would really miss the call hold and call screen functions on the pixel.

Same man, loved every bit about the p6p but the dropout is really bothering me, I use both boost and Voda sim still getting it, after update to android 13 it's gone better but still occasionally dropout, now literally don't know what phone to get, thinking gunna gamble on the pixel 7/7pro as I really disklike Samsung and apple is abit boring and too expensive

How much is P7P expected to be in Aus? I read it's probably going to be 899 USD.

14 Pro is 999 USD and that magically converts to 1749 AUD.

        • A silly guess would be 1500 for the p7p

Oh the desperation to be a data mine for google. Go ahead, celebrate mediocrity when there is just no excuse.

      • And you think Apple don't do the same?

        • The difference is Apple don't show you related ads in search and across all the internet that uses adwords (or whatever it's called these days). Like, there's hardly a place Apple can show me ads based on my usage of the electronic devices. Maybe in AppStore? And it's just everywhere Google can do that.

Don't get me wrong - I use both, with all the responsibilities that come with it and a couple of possible workarounds like adblockers.

          • @pizzaguy: Are you kidding? There are no workarounds until you keep on using their services. There are million ways they can fingerprint you across the internet.

        • Look up where google gets majority of their revenue from (over 90% is from advertising or related business's) and now look up where Apple gets most of their money from (and you will see that it is from hardware sales).

Now tell me which company has the incentive to sell your data to third party for targeted advertising? There is one and only one answer and starts with G.

  • Need to join zip pay first.. Any catch regarding zip pay cash back $100? Zip Pay Joining fee, monthly fee, discontinued fee, etc.

    • $25.00 establishment fee
$7.95 monthly fee, waived if you pay all your balance by the end of the month

      • I think it is still good to pay $25, and get back $100 when purchasing $1000+ from JB Hi-Fi.

Applying for the zip pay account is quite tedious. It requires me to upload bank statements for the last 3 months. Each of my bank statements covers 2 months. So I uploaded 2 statements (4 months). And it replied: "unfortunately your uploads were insufficient as they do not cover the required period being the most recent 3 months". :(

          • @mem: It is a pain in the a$$ to get approved, logged into 3 bank accounts and ended up getting Automatically approved for $1k which was enough for the phone.
Someone from Zip ended up contacting me asking for further info before they could approve 😂
Once I logged into the Zip app the $100 ended up showing as being able to be redeemed. The app allows you to generate a once off Visa card which you can use online or in store which is pretty nifty.
I'm still figuring it out but it seems that I have 6 weeks to pay the full amount off before they start charging a $7.95 fee?

        There's no $25 establishment fee

  • Anyone know how long this is discounted for? Or is this just the new price point as Pixel 7 coming soon.
