I think you have it confused with something else, mate. The standard Becks is a malt beer, not a wheat beer.. it's a pale lager. I know it's your word against mine at this point, but just google it, or look it up on any bottleshop's website.. i bet you it'll be described as a lager.
PS .. just reading your earlier comment - Heineken isn't made of wheat either.. it's a lager too, made of malted barley, hops, yeast and water
Wheat beers are thing's like Hoegaarden, Erdinger, Weihenstephaner, Schofferhofer Hefeweizen etc.. which I'm not the biggest fan of either.

Cheaper that a can of coke? surely that pricing is unsustainable since its shipped from Germany!?
Also have to check if it's the import brew (real thing from Germany) or the locally made Becks (made under licence in NSW from memory).
Both are for sale in Oz, so it's worth a quick look on the label to check before you buy if you have a preference.
EDIT: I looked at their site and noted that they were selling the import. My local bottle shop regularly has cases at $29/$30 anyway.
The local stuff is made in SA I think… A Lot of the Licensed Beers are, cause we have "free", good, Hard Beer making water and the local beer market is pretty small.

nope, but I've noticed that for a delivery I ordered for my folks a few weeks ago… Think it's all due to using a private courier and them fitting deliveries into certain areas/timings.
