    We love free money 🤩

20c and 40GB of data I can use to browse OzBargain out and about for more free money. It's the gift that keeps on giving 😍

Sounds to me like you had an untracked claim declined as attributed elsewhere, rather that a tracked purchase. I've gone back a year and can't see any tracked Boost purchases being declined. Are you certain this was via Cashrewards? Thanks.

    • +1

Are you saying CB was approved, and therefore you ported out, and then you noticed it was declined afterwards? Unlikely story.

      • More likely that CB was tracked, then declined. But TA has mentioned that they haven't seen a single Boost purchase being declined after tracking…

        • No, it is more likely from claim.

      @JaneSong

Just did a little more research. You claimed to have purchased 10 here, which was only a month ago. All Boost transactions via Cashrewards for the month of August are still pending to members, so how can yours be declined?

  • +2

I bought one on 14/09, no confirmation about the cashback tracking yet.

    • Mine came in straight away.

      • So did mine (almost immediately). Shows pending until 22 December, but tracked within five minutes.

    • Mine didn’t either

  • If only I could use this! Still 300 days to go on my 1 year plan.

Most professional sim sluts have a dual sim phone, 2nd phone or USB modem to take advantage of deals like this.

      • +3

Yeah, I used to be that guy, but after running a dual SIM phone for six years, I recently did the OzB thing and used my daughter's .edu.au email to get a Samsung S22Ultra for $1566, and it is single SIM plus eSIM which sucks. Downside of brand names.

I guess I can get a free SIM to put in my seven year old 7-Eleven Helicopter just for laughs.

        Problem solved.

Thanks @WatchNerd. P.S. I'm pretty sure I've bought a Seiko Divers watch as a result of one of your OzB posts, so thanks again!

        • How is she enjoying her S22Ultra?

          • +1

@Daabido: She is enjoying my hand me down phone - daughters always enjoy upgraded free phones. I am enjoying my S22 Ultra.

I’m pretty slutty, but I’m not going to do two at the same time

      • Am a proud professional "SIM SLUT"😊
Have been for about 8 years.

Another Boost SIM arrived today. #4!
        Have quite a few 1c Kogan (40GB) & free $80 Belong (500GB!) SIMs.

Use a dual SIM phone (1 SIM for long term number - often only for incoming calls, other is the current free SIM for outgoing calls & data).

For so many years before that, used 2 phones to do the same.
Wrote about how to do it in the Telstra Starter Pack Wiki (I created) about 8 years ago!!

Have 2nd phone in use as modem just for streaming. That is a locked Telstra 4GX - free from Deal over 3 years ago Boost SIMs work in it! So burning through these SIMs👍

  • Can its possible to port from telstra month to month plan to boost mobile considering this also use telstra network?

    • +1

      Absolutely.

    • As long as you're changing brands, it doesn't matter what physical network it's using.

  • Oh yeah. Keep that wealth coming. 😋

  • Is there a per person limit?

    • Depends how creative you are with your twenty cents

  • Tracked within 1 minute. Cool.

  • Will australia follow the USA to completely shift to eSIM?

    • +1

      Eventually, the whole world will.

    • Iphone 14 will be e-sim only so pretty much very soon

      • +3

        US models only.

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

    same error few days ago

    • Are you wanting for previous orders or deliveries?

If so, might have to wait till those are cleared before using your address again.

Otherwise don’t know, maybe clamping down on multiple buyers.

      • yes i had previous order but i used my husband work address and pay with a different card, still have the same error appeared. no luck :(

    • +3

Same, but waiting for previous order.
Added a fake unit number in front of my house number & order was processed! Postie still delivers.

      • Never thought of that 👍
I would have been nervous wether or not the postie would have delivered.

I wonder how many more have tried this and was successful or not as I’d still be inclined to try it the first time?

        • +2

It's delivered by registered mail, which could be more of a problem. Will see…

I regularly use that trick for Deals limited to 1 per household. Postie delivers.

          • +1

@INFIDEL: It depends on the postie, I've had a few items returned to sender doing that.

            • @SimAus007: Luckily the posties know me, with my strange deliveries (unit numbers for a house, same packages under different names…)

Today, added "Unit 1" (with marker pen on tape) to unused section of letterbox (for newspapers). Just in case. Will remove after delivery.

      • Successfully received SIM for "Unit1" (from previous Deal)

When Boost can't find the address it lets you enter it manually
Line 1: street number & street
        Line 2 (additional): Unit1
        etc

        Delivered as
        Yourname
        street number & street, Unit1
        etc

So unlikely not to be delivered as Unit1 won't be noticed by busy postie.

  • Can we activate multiple sim cards under same account / email address?

  • +2

will there be another better deal tomorrow like it has been going on for the last several weeks?

  • Thanks OP

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later

keep getting this error when I try to place order .

this same thing happens everytime when there is cashreward/boost bonus offer :(

anyone else got a solution ?

    • Try a different browser or device.

      • +1

Tried safari/pc chrome Firefox etc. tried adding unit 1 in front of address. Same issue

        • Try Unit 53b…

          • +1

@tharlow: I think spell QLD to Queen(s/z)land, Q L D, Q.L.D., use a combination of apostrophe and space in the address, which makes the difference better, less misunderstanding than adding unit number.

            • @Neoika: I see you have a PhD in subtle address modifications… very nice advice!

  • Do we need to stay with Boost until cashback approved?
Bought previously on 7/9 but cashback will be approved on 11/12… That's a little over 2 months which the plan will roll to 2nd months already before cashback approved.

    • +4

Make sure auto recharge is off so you aren't charged $40 for next month!!

Incoming service (calls etc) will continue for about 6 months. Number is handy for Deals!
(Am using just for the Data, so not porting number out.)
So you're still connected to Boost - should work for cashback.

      • Good idea… just leave it as 2nd sim instead of porting

      • Thanks for the heads up on auto recharge.

  • If I'm currently on a 12 months boost deal (which is about to expire), do I need to port out first to use this one?

    • Yes!

  • On the website it says you need to activate by 26/09 whereas at the top 'Special Terms' it says sim needs to be activated within 30days of ordering. Can someone please confirm which is correct?

    • SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

If you want cashback then you must follow this.

    • 26/9 is for the bonus data
