  • Good internet?

    • Depends on your area mate

  • Looks like it can be bought by existing customers as well.

  • Are they still with vodafone network?

  • I would prefer boost, because of good quality internet and international minutes.

    • Esim mate

      • Can you confirm we can use Esim for this Kogan plan? Thank you.

        • +1

          Yes I can

    • +1

I would prefer Kogan (Voda) because of good quality internet at my location.

      • +1

Yeah, I get around 300Mbps download speeds on Voda 4G inside my home, no issues here, although it will vary for everyone, like every network.

    • I have been using WhatApp for international calls for years now and the quality is much better than a regular call now, in my experience - free unlimited voice & video calls :)

      • +1

Yeah whatsapp is best, and its free.

  • When do you have to activate by?

    • I want this answer too

      • +2

        From the Kogan website:

Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/10/2022. Activation must be made before the voucher expiry date.

Is the same for both Large and Extra Large plans.

        • I just call up kogan customer care. They said active before 4 October 11.59.

          • +1

@jackloan: " Voucher must be purchased before 11:59PM AEDT on 04/10/2022. Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/10/2022. Activation must be made before the voucher expiry date."

Just wanna let you guys know I just activated the XL 500GB plan on eSIM and ended up getting 750GB.

    • Last year I activated a 200Gb medium plan and got 230Gb instead.

None of this is guaranteed of course but people can get lucky.

      • Just renewed with a Small Flex plan and didn't get more than the 120Gb advertised… not that it'll affect me much. I only use 40Gb per annum according to my past year's usage before renewing.

    • Wow, it was already a smashing deal. Kogan are hard to beat.

    • Same here!

    • I got the 750GB too on the 500gb plan :o

  • Good thing Kogan allows eSIM on these plans

    • How do we switch to eSIM for current customers?

      • you need to buy a $2.90 esim on kogan website, add that esim to your phone first (or after I'm not sure) and then give kogan a call

  • Got the 500GB with the last $150 deal. It is pretty decent, but I live in the cbd. So not sure if the coverage is great. $150 for 500GB is an amazing deal, $180 is still okay

  • no deals for smaller 365 days packages ?

    • There usually isn't any… at least without the data dropping as well. A few months back I think you could get a Small 80Gb plan for $99.

I recently got $10 credit from Kogan which I offset against the small plan.

      • How did you get the $10 credit?

  • +1

Can you receive sms while overseas?

    • I want to know that too - without having to get their (expensive) roaming. $15 a day!

  • Just bought two Kogan mobile plans…

    1. Small one for $110 after $10 off from gift credit. After a bit of thought, since I only use 40Gb per annum but need the buffer in case home NBN goes down and extra quota for when I'm on holidays, the small should be sufficient. I mean, it's an extra 80Gb per annum I'll have up my sleeve still. The large plan for $162 is tempting but excessive for my needs… may as well save the $42 for something else.

    2. My Mrs is on Boost with 260Gb… paid $300 for it. She previously was on Vodafone with no coverage issues. Got the Kogan Large plan for her… for a little less coverage which makes no difference, she's getting a bit more data for an almost 50% saving.

  • Bugger..just spent $150 on 3 Medium plans less than a week ago and went backwards on data allowance. Not sure if there are any options if anyone has any advice?

    • Not much you can do mate. I did the same thing last year… bought early before my 1yr expiration and the 300Gb Large plan went on discount cheaper than the Medium at full price. It's why I'm waiting till the last minute to buy the plan this year… though, this time I've just opted to go Small but my Mrs gets a better plan.

      • Black Friday may bring some good options?

        • Possibly.

For me, the deciding factor was whether I wanted to dick around with changing providers for a month or two and then switching back to Kogan. I had a $10 Kogan voucher and decided to downgrade to the Small plan so no point waiting for deals. $162 for 300Gb is a win for my wife though.

  • Does anyone happen to know which company provides better internet quality in Brisbane especially around UQ? Voda, Optus or Telstra

    • +1

Best is to test it out yourself by buying 1 month prepaid packs from different providers.

      • This… for things like mobile reception, nothing beats testing each of the major infrastructure networks.

  • +1

Vodaphone network is pretty solid in Geelong.
Not sure if its noted anywhere, but we got put on the 5g network after a significant outtage a few months back.

  • +1

Since it's flicked to 5G it's been great in Melbourne Metro. It was previously woeful on 4G for data and calls. Kogan/Voda now has added Wi-Fi calling so it has vastly improved at home.

If you don't need 500gb data, better overall choice is Boost Telstra 5G 200gb. Kogan/Vodafone sucks in regional. Few Boost deals posted by resellers on OzB.

  • Is anyone getting volte and wifi calling with Kogan. How long are you waiting for it to become active

  • I paid $162 for the 300gb plan, but got 500gb on recharge instead! Thanks OP!

    • Can confirm. I got 500gb from the 300gb plan aswell

  • I missed out on the Father’s Day offer. Hope
They have an offer on Small plan over the coming few days as my wife’s plan ends on Friday.

  • Can we use this sim in an Ipad. Just use it as a data only sim ??

  • Can we combine gift card to buy this?

  • Perfect timing as my current 365 flex small ends EOM:) Got the L 300GB for $162 eSIM… Hope I get 500gb when activated like eyezakk got… 🤞 great deal either way so thanks op.

  • Great deal. My Kogan XL runs out on 20/11 and this must activated by 31/10.

Will i just lose that 20 days of usage? Its been that way in the past (lost a few days here and there)

  • Anyone know how changing plans works after this 365 plan runs out? For the Large plan, its $400 a year after or $40 a month is very steep for $25gb/month. Is there any way to change plans without paying this price or the "Early Exit fee" that is 1x40 or 3x40 depending on when you change plans (which is in the fine print)?

    • This deal was for the 365 days prepaid. The 12month plan is different.

  • Who have experience to change from Vodafone to Kogan? because Kogan use Vodafone as well, is it better to change to other provider then change back to Kogan? Thank you.
