Misprice? Have ordered one for C&C so will see what happens.

    • Just received an e-mail saying my order is ready to collect.

  • +3

    Running to bunnings now

    • 😂

  • Be careful with very old stock of these Flexvolt batteries. I thought I got a great deal earlier this year with a kit from Blackwoods but the battery was production dated 2017 and, in my experience at least, has not held charge well when compared with those batteries manufactured in more recent years.

      claim warranty

      • +1

Sold as is, with very clearly marked production date stamped on battery body. Just ask Bunnings if you can open the box (and zip lock bag) to check.

        • Cheers I will check it

        • +2

          Just checked
          Battery was 08/2022
Boxhill store has one more left

I got a 2017 battery from Blackwood's in that deal, lasted 2 charges before it wouldn't charge past 2/3s.
Went straight to DeWalt who sent me a new 2022 battery.
Thanks again OzB, that was a great deal.

      • Well played. Mine charged OK (all three lights green) but drained rapidly.

  • dont even use dewalt tools, time to find some skin only deals

    • +1

Noticed a lot of dewalt skins being marked down at my locals. Each had their own store specific markdowns

      • Which area if I may ask?

        • Ah sorry, don't get notifications on comments so just saw this!
I'm on the Gold Coast. Robina, Nerang, Oxenford in particular had a number of DeWalt skins. Also noticing a lot of AEG lines being discontinued and marked down, including battery bundles.

Just grabbed one in store. Price on shelf was $560, scanned at 189.00. Guy behind me could not believe the price.

    • The 2 x 9.0ah and charger pack is $560.

  • This is a really good deal. Easy to purchase skins and return from Bunnings.

  • Got excited for a second.. these are 2ah @ 54v

    • +1

Yeah all their ratings are at 18v. Still a good bit of juice

    • wait what? it says clearly that its 2x 6ah batteries. smoking deal

      • +8

        6ah at 18v = 108Wh
        2ah at 54v = 108Wh

These are the Flexvolt batteries so if it's working at a higher voltage the amount of current is reduced.

    • +1

Get excited again, these are 6.0 AH

  • +1

Awesome price, thanks! One of these batteries alone usually costs more. Grabbed one via C&C and got the notification to collect within 10min. I have one of these batteries that came with my Dewalt 54V chainsaw. Good stuff!

    • Just picked up mine from C&C. Made in 2022.

  • +1

Nice one! Not often you get to see Dewalt batteries on sale.

  • +12

    Here's the stock checker: https://nrby.in/bunnings/6260364

  • grabbed one now any recommendations for skins

    • Dewalt skins are very expensive if you are just an occasional home DIY'er. This battery set will lock you into the eco system of expensive tools.

      • +4

Dewalt is a pretty decent cost/quality choice and the batteries are the expensive part.

    • +1

I pick up the skins one at a time when they are on sale.

The only time I've paid more than 50% off RRP was for this chainsaw kit https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/719766 as I needed a battery chainsaw for my choice to go 100% completely off grid.

  • +1

Just got this kit, confirmed it’s brand new stock, made in 2022 on mine.

    • +2

Damn just bought the last one, mine says 2020 on the box. Hope thats okay? 😬

      • +1

Yeah of course they are all the same, you might need to charge/discharge a few cycles before they reach full capacity

    • +3

Not good enough. Why didn't you grab 6 and sell 4 to get 2 free sets.

  • +1

These batteries go for around $120 on marketplace. Pretty good deal. I ordered 1 just for the double charger.

  • There is one more in Padstow. I just picked mine up

    • +1

……missed it… now i have to drive 40 kms to collect it.

  • Ozbargained in my area.

    • Resellers buying all stock. Expect to see these on Gumtree / Facebook Market place for $250 - $300 in a few hours.

  • Just left the Moorabbin store. Didn’t buy one but the guy had 2 in stock and said they were double booked with online orders and will give it to one who comes first in best dressed

    • Imagine turning up third or fourth
      Karennnn
      .

  • those Bunnings scumbags cancelled my order.

    • How many did you order?

      • Just one. All stores around me showed stock when I ordered. now none left..

    • -5

      Youre probably a reseller

    • +3

yeah for deals like this you need to go into store.
I believe store customers get first preference because online orders are just pending order not yet accepted to fulfil

      • Yep staff take them off the shelf and it's not always same day.

  • Had stock of two at Rothwell, but before I could checkout they were gone. Got one from Morayfield hopefully.

  • Just grabbed the last one on the shelf at the Maddington (WA) store. Online still reckons the store has stock though.

The lady in the tool section that served me said these are a fantastic price and she wondered if the price was a mistake. Also said they were flying out the store.

  • Can this batteries use on all the dewalt 18V tools?

    • +1

i think so according to their description… 18V-54V

    • +1

      Yes

    • Yes you can. Battery 6ah is 18V/54V

  • thanks mate, just ordered one online…i have been waiting for this kind of offer for a long time…
hopefully they won't cancel my order. :)

  • Victoria looks to have been cleaned out pretty good.

Luckily I managed to get the 5ah batteries in the previous deal, although they weren't flexvolt.

  • I wonder how long I will have to wait for a deal on these -

Dewalt 14.4V-18V-54V Flexivolt XR Li-Ion Wet & Dry Cordless Vacuum Skin - DCV584L-XE

  • 1 left at Bunnings Marion (dated 2021)

  • First ordered at manly west got cancellation after 30 mins. Then placed order in west Ipswich to get same. Both were showing stock when order was placed :(

  • +1

Ordered one for click and collect, hopefully get txt soon!

    • Been waiting for a text for about two hour now.

  • +3

Others in another forum are saying as this is still listed as a live item it can be ordered from the Special Orders department in-store if there’s no stock. Apparently price is valid until 28/9/22.

    • It's no longer live on the website so that ship may have sailed.

  • +3

Placed order over 3 hours ago and just had a call saying they didn't have any left in stock. Asked to be passed to the Special Orders desk and they said yes they can place an order for me and I don't have to do anything else.

    • Probably a big boatload hit the ports to kick off this sale of old existing stock ,
not looking good for any resellers now ..

    • +1

??? How much are you trying to sell them for?

    • +9

Have you tried a mirror? You’ll for sure find one lol

  • +2

Surprisingly managed to get a set via C&C so thanks OP.

Must admit I've been very impressed with DeWalt batteries and still have a couple dating back to 2014 that still work well. As opposed to Ryobi…

  • +1

    Page down, deal done.

  • Just checked at my local. They only had 2 and sold both. No stock left anywhere in SA

  • Doh, just received the cancellation email for out of stock.

  • -5

Check out the two metabo deals , better deals, better tools , still stock.
Just show them the picture of the clearance tag , worked for me .

  • To buy the charger and batteries individually from Bunnings comes to $547….not a bad saving!

Great deal. Thanks OP. I managed to get a hold of 6 boxes from 2 different stores!

  • ordered y'day - got email confirming order but no text yet

should I just go to the store and collect?

    • I am in the same boat as you. Placed order yesterday afternoon, received email and no update yet. Online order status has changed to cancelled now. Called the store this morning to check if I can pick it, they said "we are checking the orders and you will receive a SMS when it is ready".

      • rang the store, and they just got back to be saying it's OOS and there's apparently no stock anywhere so will be refunded ….

should've just gone there yesterday after placing the order to pick it up ……….

  • +1

I placed a click and collect order from a store with stock yesterday afternoon. Phone call this morning saying they ran out but can place a special order for me at same price.
Text message 10mins later refunding saying they can't do the same price.

  • -1

I picked up my click and collect order today with no problems. Thanks OP.

  • I got a message from Bunnings today asking to call them. Was told out of stock, so asked to be put through to Special Orders. Asked about special order for one at the same price. They said they would have to check stock with supplier in Melbourne. Got an email confirming my order and will be available in seven to twelve days.

    • I was given the same special orders option when I called the 1800 number. I was able to place a special order on phone but after 30 minutes I got a message from the store saying that they can't get the stock as it is a "deranged item" and the order will be cancelled. :-(

@NevC - did you receive any similar SMS?

      • No. Called them this morning. Got email at about 9.45 am. Here is the email -

Good Afternoon Neville, I have confirmed stock with supplier in their Melbourne Warehouse. An order has been placed. Please allow 7 - 12 working days to come into store. Our team will contact you when it arrives. Thank you
        Regards
        Liz

No messages since then. If they back out now, I will still hound them.

        • Thanks. I will call them back again tomorrow.

          • +2

@PVS7: They have removed the item from the website so you can’t get the same $189 price as it seems everyone started calling the ‘special order desk’ to get them thus they removed the item completely. You will most likely be asked to pay full price. There is a guy on Gumtree selling it for $350 though :-)

            • @dreamscene: Thanks. I guess I will stick with my 5 year old 4.0 ah battery until there is another sale.

            • @dreamscene: Well, I got a message from Bunnings today stating my order was ready to collect. $189.00. Picked it up this morning. Took just under two weeks. Ordered the Dewalt 14.4V-18V-54V Flexivolt XR Li-Ion Wet & Dry Cordless Vacuum Skin - DCV584L-XE from Just Tools today for $388 delivered. Should have it early next week. Very happy chappy.

  • Thanks OP! Picked up my C&C tonight

  • -1

Can someone please post or pm the receipt of the purchase. Thanks

    • +2

why, wha do you want it for?

      • A good million dollar question!!

      • I have found 1 SOH in one of my locals, but price in bunnings system has now gone up/reverted to $450. And the webpage for the product is now down (although google results page shows $189) so was hoping to use the receipt to convince that store to price match.

        • Good luck with it. To be honest, a store would rather specific website for full verification rather than using Google search / result webpage.

          • @Dark Zeus: Yeah, apparently it was a temporary price reduction with price back to normal. That is in contradiction to what other stores may have said in relation to clearance. The store in question is offering a discount due to the situation but not 189. Picking up tomorrow
