Yeah, waiting for Q45 to hit this price instead.

  • Considering buying the 1more Sono Flow Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Anyone know how they stack up on the q35's?

    • where from?

    • It would depend on your priorities.

Based on the variety of overview/demos/reviews on YouTube, I would only consider getting the 1more SonoFlow as backup travel headphones for the main purpose of some ANC without breaking the bank. This is because:

      • The price is relatively cheap, so it isn't too painful if you lose or break them during travel.
      • The build appears light and compact, which is great for travel.
      • The sound seems to be a bit lacklustre for my personal preference, and hence it may not be ideal for my daily usage.
      • The voice pick up from the microphone seems to struggle during slightly noisier and windy conditions, which would not be ideal as the main headset to take phone calls.
      • The headphone uses a 2.5mm auxillary port, which is rare in my household. Glad to see they include a 2.5mm-3.5mm AUX cable, but if I lose or forget to bring the one they include in the box, I wouldn't have any other spare 2.5mm-3.5mm AUX cables lying around.

IMO, I would save up and pick up the newer Soundcore Q45 if/when they go on sale via Amazon.

At the same time I think some honest reviews state the Q45 is not that big of an improvement to the Q35 which was not that big an improvement on the Q30.
The Q45 might not be as good as reviews say which makes it similar to the Q30 in terms of overall ANC ability.
And the 1More Sonoflow really does look like a clone product of the Q30/Q35 so might be quite similar in performance as well.
Just wanted to say the Q45 and 1More Sonoflow might both be more similar to the Q35 than we think and so that might make both options pretty equal.

Main issue with the Q30 people were having was the ANC doesn't work when using 3.5mm wired for airplane entertainment. They fixed that with the Q35.
Also main difference between Q35 and Q45 that both honest and "sponsored" reviews say is the Q45 is a more balanced sound out of the box. Q30 and Q35 were known for their "Bass heavy" sound out of the box which needed to be fixed with the EQ in the App.

        • Thank you again mate, your in depth knowledge of these products always impresses me. I’m going to wait it out for a sick deal on q35.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah I did learn some things after leaving the 2 long comments here though (other one below).
1More Sonoflow seems to be very similar in spec to the Q30/Q35 so could possibly be a clone product but I read a review comparing it to the Q30 which said the ANC strength on the Sonoflow is definitely a step behind. Another report says the 1More App only has ANC on/Ambient on/ANC off options inside the App, while the Anker App has the ANC strength control slider. This leads me to suspect the Sonoflow is basically stuck on one ANC strength and that is probably equal to the ANC medium level on the Q30.

      • And also heaps of great reviews!

        • Most likely paid videos (these only came out a couple of weeks ago and they sent them out to reviewers)

@cycleri3: Yet I've followed techtablets for years and the review he offers up is in stark contrast to the one you have linked And I don't see him selling out his much valued and credible reputation for a lousy few dollars

            https://youtu.be/QdSMvEREf1U

            • @tarkine: Yeah I agree he is a decent reviewer. I looked into these further and found no ANC in wired mode. It says this in the manual https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1140/4626/files/SonoFlow_M…

So these are more Soundcore Q30 tier.

              • @cycleri3: Damn. Back they go.

                • @boxall: Kept them. Mic is really good. Sound is really good. Overall really good!

Will try on a plain next week.

                  • @boxall: How'd they go on a plane?
I have them and I'm keen to know for an upcoming flight… I want to know whether to get another pair for the wife or maybe Q45 instead.

                    • @FalseProfit: No issues at all. Not Sony XM3 level of NC, but very adequate. Just remember there is no ANC when wired…not great for the long haul.

    • Honestly the specs look pretty similar to me. They could be almost identical products.
In which case the Sonoflow could be seen as better value.
Both use Bluetooth 5.0, both support LDAC and have a companion App. One thing I would double check on is whether the ANC strength can be controlled in the Sonoflow App. They might not which means maybe it is permanently on the "Medium" ANC setting and that's why it's cheaper than the Q35.

The 70 hours stated by Sonoflow is most likely with ANC off since they don't specify. While Q35 states 40 hours ANC on and 60 hours in normal mode. I find many products batteries have lasted longer than stated so these two headphones could be sharing the exact same internals and this difference in number could be completely for marketing reasons.

An important thing I think is to consider Anker as a large company that make many different kinds of products. 1More is a smaller TWS earphone brand. So when shit hits the fan 1 year later, Anker might be the better company to deal with.

      • After reading up more on the 1More Sonoflow. Seems like both the App and ANC ability is behind the Q30.
I think the Sonoflow having USB-C is based on either the Q30 or Q35 because of all the other similar specs, but they hobbled the ANC on the Sonoflow which reflects it's lower price.

Got the 45 the other day, they’re good, better sound, was an upgrade from the 30 which I’ve had for about 1.5 years, still deciding if it was worth it tbh. But I’m about to fly international so I think the better ANC will probably sway my decision to keep them.
