Got ozito for like $20 that was the 3 in 1 plug in though.
The ozito skin battery version i saw was $50 i believe.
Is this worth up to 11 times more

To the ozito plug in? Definitely

Why would you buy this, when something cheaper like an Ozito PXC 2x18V blower has better specs?

    Milwaukee specs:

    Max air volume: 12.7m³/min
    Max air speed: 193kph
    Price: See above
    Warranty: ??? Overseas supplier

    Ozito specs

    Max air volume: 13.6m³/min
    Max air speed: 210kph
    Price: $149
Warranty: 5 years, bring it to any big green shed & get a new one.

      Ozito specs(ozito.com.au) Price: $149

      You're kidding!
Those of us who follow OzB paid $30. Yes, 36V brushless. They had lots at that price too :-)

Better to quote the RRP instead of the very limited deal that a handful of people managed to snare. Well done btw, that's a great deal. I paid $149 but it came with 2x4ah batteries & a dual charger.

You got a bloody good deal too! Many people got the $30 blowers though. Like the OP, I saw a pallet-load when i bought.

TBH, the $59 model does everything I need. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725513
          18V, same 5 year warranty.

I see your point but if you don't already have the ozito kit and have the 2x 18v batteries required there is still value here if you've got Milwaukee as I do. Over 40% off.
With the warranty I've never had an issue with Amazon warranty even from the UK

from my experience of various power tool brands, i do have to say that ozito, although priced well, can be complete garbage. I've had numerous ozito drills die on me or have their motors lose almost all power.

for my personal use, only because i'm a frequent power tool user i much prefer to spend a bit more and get something from the likes of milwaukee, makita, dewalt, etc.

      HOWEVER
….For the people that jumped on the deal, $30 for a 36v brushless blower is a no brainer….even if it lasts you 6 months it's well worth it. I've also done my fair share of taking apart batteries to make my own from salvaged cells, and something i can definitely applaud ozito for are it's battery cells, For the price you pay (especially when on sale) they use decent battery cells. I repack my own makita batteries and i find it better to buy ozito batteries on sale and use the 18650 cells rather than buying a knock off makita fitting battery. Other valid use cases for Ozito tools are for the individual that doesn't use power tools much and just wants a drill etc lieing around for the odd occasion they want to hang up a photo or put together some flat pack furniture without having to use allen keys

But when you want to discuss quality of power tools, i'm sorry to say it, but from personal experience ozito just isn't there yet, but like mentioned above, it has it's uses, and ofcourse an extremely good deal is an extremely good deal.

      • I think it's important to remember the target market. Ozito is very much for the ad-hoc domestic user, hence the warranty caveat on commercial usage. For someone like me who does the lawns, trees & the occasional Ikea flat pack, they're brilliant.

        • +2

Completely agree, that's why i made mention that some of the valid use cases are for individuals that don't use the tools much, such as the occasional hanging of a photo or assembling some flat pack.

  • The shipping kills it

    • Yep, that nearly made my decision for me but I have wanted one of these for a while and still much cheaper than I could find here

    • If you bundle it with other non prime stuff from amazon UK it makes a bit more sense. e.g. this Milwaukee 1m level is only $26 and only adds 4$ extra to shipping.

      The shipping kills it

Yeah you're right, much better to pay $398 locally instead of $231 shipped.

      Not.

      • Given you don't get any warranty buying from Amazon, it's not worth the risk to me

        • Of course you do, are you not aware of Australian Consumer Law?

          • @Aliensf: It's an import, not sold locally.

You'll be able to return it within Amazon's period but after that, you're on your own.

            https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/sales-delivery/buying-para…

            • @whitelie: Amazon will need to abide by Australian Consumer Law if the item is not fit for purpose.

              • @Aliensf: Is that for items sold through overseas Amazon portals, or just through Amazon AU? I wouldn't have thought they have any obligation to provide local support for something you opted to purchase from an overseas supplier.

  • So for fuel blower, does it use fuel or battery?

  • Do you get the free redemption battery on Amazon though?

  • Those considering, bear in mind you don't get warranty buying from Amazon or overseas

    The Milwaukee Manufacturer's product Warranty:
    is not valid for any products purchased on Amazon, eBay and any other non-authorised websites;
is only applicable to products purchased from Authorised Milwaukee Retailers in Australia or New Zealand; and

  • Ego blower is the best

  • I Have this blower and rate it highly - I have bought right into the red army with multiple M12 and M18 tools - from memory there has only been 1 or 2 Milwaukee power tools that I have been disappointed with.
