Is it me or there are a lot of conditions just for $20 e-voucher. $20 is probably worth half a bottle of water with the inflation running sky high at the moment.

At least they removed the requirement that your flight number must be a prime number.

Seems pretty standard to me. Voucher applies to Singapore Airlines customers transiting through Changi from Australia over January-September next year. I'd guess that nearly everyone who bought SQ tickets to Europe in their recent sale would qualify, just have to pick it up a few days before you leave.

    • +1

      up to S$20
Not even 20 for many.. I guess

      • It's up to $20 because you claim 1 x $10 voucher per transit.

Jan to Sept 2023 only :(

    • +6

You will have to rebook your flights….. sorry.

Bugger me - flying through in November. Just get the shaft!

Boo! - Won't be able to use this tomorrow when going over for the F1.

  • damn i'm flying the wrong direction BKK-SIN-SYD

  • Got a trip to SIN next year but with QF :(

    • Cancel and book Singapore

  • I’ll be missing out because of the date too :(

  • How are their cancellation/delay rates? Dont want to miss a connecting flight these days but cheaper to transit in Sg than fly direct to where Im going

    • i was in london the week of Her Majesty's death and went though SIN both ways and had no delays at all, baggage arrived both ends with no issue too

      • Should have asked Charlie for a gift to bring to Charleville?

I was in Changi airport a few weeks ago doing a transfer and they are incredibly efficient. Compared to debacles occurring when I was in Sydney airport or Heathrow airport, Changi is a completely different beast.

      Case in point:
Heathrow and Sydney had about 4 or 5 luggage screenings open for all international departures.

My gate for transfer itself had 2. No crazy queues even when we went to get food and walked around the airport. No madness to be seen

    • Before pandemic my SQ flight was delayed 2 hours due to mechanic issues and the Singapore Airline sent all passengers to various lounges.( I was allocated to Plaza Premium lounge).

  • +1

NOOOO, im flying Nov 2022, damn it.

  • Damn, I’ll be there next week

  • Wasn’t this $30 or $40 before the pandemic? I’m flying in November too and missing out!

    • +2

      it's always been $20

    • I traveled in March 2020 , I received 20 Singaporean dollars that time too.

    • I travelled in March 2018, and it was $20.

    • +1

      I traveled in 2013 and I received 2 x $20 vouchers
( collected on the 1st transit, of outbound leg )

  • Last time they had that on one had to collect this voucher on a hard to find counter at Terminal 3.
The line was usually around 30 minutes, a short time compared with the registration for a free city trip which was around 3-4h.
Good point: It was actually still valid outside the transit area in the cafe. Just enough for a burger and a tea.

      • Thank you for all the updates!

        Username checks out!

    • your Changi Rewards account

err…why do they all start to force people to create accounts, just to collect something ?

      • +2

So they can track your spend activity and harvest your data at the same time.

        • I know why they do it, and I was just thinking aloud !

Everyone is moving down this path, though.

  • Aw man, passing through SIN on January 18. Will only be able to claim for the return trip :-(

    • +1

I'll recommend to claim now if you got e-tickets. because it says "while stocks last."

      • how can you claim only on return ticket…it doesn't seem to proceed if departure date is before 22/01/23.

  • I'm flying Business in May, I assume I can't claim for a while?

    • +1

      Oohhh, Business!

  • Anything for etihad?

  • I did this. Got 4*$10 vouchers for a bne to Europe return trip in August.

    Thanks op!

  • while stocks last

    ha

  • Still wait-listed with SQ.

  • Done. Thanks! Just have to wait for the trip to happen next year!

  • +3

MFs! Flying out with them on the 21st of Jan

  • EDIT, yes I see you now one-way tickets only get SIN$ 10.
Wasn’t this always for a return booking? No mention of that now.

  • Has anyone had any luck with SQ reward flights. Mine keeps coming up as not eligible even though I meet the criteria.

    • +1

Yep just put my two J flights through as reward seats. I just uploaded a PDF of the 1st page of each ticket without all the reward seat info (not sure if it makes any difference). Got confirmation within 5 minutes.

  • Hello people, i arrive in SG around 2am on a friday. anything to do til i check in the arvo? thanks!

    • Some restaurants are still open, its a little quiet at that time as you would expect, or book into the transit hotel I think one is called Aerotel and the other the Ambassador

      • sorry, i meant i check into my hotel in the arvo, so mainly asking if theres anything in the city to do. (2am - 10am? time slot)
        thanks!

    • I think at Termianl 2 there is a 24/7 food court at basement. It's catered for local staff but open to the public. Don't expect much to be open at that time of the morning.
      Nope it's T1

      • sorry, i meant i check into my hotel in the arvo, so mainly asking if theres anything in the city to do. (2am - 10am? time slot)
        thanks!

        • Do what everyone is doing…sleep ;-)
But seriously I wouldn't know what to do at those time.

    • Not too much around the Airport imo. I would see if you can do an early check in at the hotel. Otherwise it's like ten hours plus to kill. Airport transit lounge with food, shower and a sleeping area is $125 sgd for six hours. Hotel is $400, but you avoid extra taxis. There are free public resting areas as well.

  • Dang it. Flyin to SIN late Oct. :(

  • thanks op!

  • We have on booking where only return date falls between 22 January 2023 and 5 September 2023. Can you claim for the return trip only or entire trip has to be in that timeframe. Currently when i enter the departure date before 22 Jan 2023 it doesn't progress

    • Lol im in the same boat as you mate. I'm flying out on the 21st Jan and returning 18th Feb.

      • so is it possible to claim for return journey or not…it seems each journey earns $10….

        • Have you tried?

I wasnt able to claim either because my inward bound trip is before the start date and for my return trip, the first leg of the flight that flies into SG is operated by Scoot, so its ineligible, it has to be an SGxxx flight the Scoot flight was SGxxxx

          • @Neilzy: I did….my first flight into Singapore is SQ but after entering departure date (which is before 21/10) it doesn't allow to go next steps..

            • @s0805: then i guess youre like me and sh1t out of luck and unable to claim. sorry brah

              • @Neilzy: I tried something dodgy to force system to accept the dates but in end it just rejected saying it can't be applied for past flight….I reckon you can still get through though. Your flight is yet to happen…

                • @s0805: Below from their FAQ.

                  1. I am travelling out of Australia and transiting via Singapore but am departing Australia before 22 January 2023. Am I eligible for the campaign?

No. Only passengers with their full travel journey completed between 22 January 2023 and 5 September 2023 (both dates inclusive) are eligible for the campaign.

  • Got 2 X $10 👍

  • +2

    no love for scoot

  • +1

This used to be standard pre covid era with only condition being point of origin is Australia. Such sad state of affairs with all these BS conditions.

  • I am travelling from Perth to Singapore return from 5 March to 11 March and have already booked. Do I qualify?

  • Got x6 vouchers amongst 3 of us. Thanks OP!

  • If you encounter javascript errors that prevent the form from submitting (as I did) then paste this into the console and it will let you proceed.

    window._satellite = {track: () => {}}

  • Transitioning through Singapore today. Apparantley credit to be loaded when we land there, hopefully it works.

    • How was your experience? These vouchers only work for fancy shop and you can't get a basic food with them as I understand.

      • +1

We just bought some toys. Sorry, didn't check if it works with food or not. I suggest buy something online before you go and arrange a pickup in that way you can also stack with online coupons

        • Where do you get the online coupons? Is it only one shop online or are there multiple?

          • +1

@lonewolf: It says "e-Voucher(s) can be used at all participating retail outlets in Changi Airport – no minimum spend required." Not sure of online.

            • @sharepoint: last i checked, there were few coupon on changi online and one of them was no minimum spent….i also checked on the changi online desk and they advised if you want to pick up something you need to order 24 hrs before your hold….

  • Last time i had to do this was also the old method of queuing up and you could use it for food etc. So if it can be done online, what are the recommendations on what to spend it on?

  • Its not working for me even though i fit all the criteria. I keep getting an error. weird.

  • Bummer, jumped through hoops to get this working only to discover it can’t be used with ishopchangi.

    Hidden in the terms:
The CR e-Vouchers may not be used in conjunction with ongoing in-store promotions and cannot be used on iShopChangi.com

Okay, I guess I’ll go to the bar then. Had some very subpar food, service, and drinks at Harry’s in T3. Go to settle the bill and of course I am unable to redeem the voucher because “the machine is broken”. What a scam

  • Does this work at the food court in T3? Do you just hand it to the cashier or what?

  • Our flights is in June, but since I've bought the ticket last year, I've already claimed the vouchers. But SQ has since changed our return flight schedule, there'll be in day different in the arrival time in Changi. Do I need to re-apply / update? How do I update them?

    Thank you

  • Anyone know if we can use these for duty free purchases? Sounds like food is hit and miss?
Will ask before I dine to make sure their machine is working :)
