    Probably because for a few hundred $ more you can get the M1, which is massively faster.

            @GregFiona: Do you mean another generation of Intel based Mac Minis? No, that's the last one. The 'new gen' is the M1 based models ($1099 etc).

            Apple probably won't drop the price of the $1699 model - they'll just quietly stop selling the Intel one. JB just wants to get rid of them.

            If you are in the market for an Mac Mini, definitely get the M1 version.

    literally just bought one 2 weeks ago. If I knew the new one was coming soon I wouldn't have bought it. However I got it for $2489 (with $2000 worth of 10% discount giftcard) and going overseas in a week so + another 10% saving with TRS. I reckon the price is not that bad so still worth it tho

    Doesn’t surprise me. I work at a retailer that sells Apple macs and the stock situation is rough at the moment. I believe Apple is diverting more of their stock to themselves so they can sell on their website with higher margins.

      I'm still waiting of JB to fulfill an order since 3/9/22. Yet I can do a pick up today at any apple store. Such BS.
