  • i recently moved to more with XXXL 250 mbps plan and it’s not worth the frustration. i’m on FTTP and my youtube doesn’t work or struggles if i set the resolution to 1440. only plays 1080 without buffering. i called the customer care did all the troubleshooting and nothing sorted. this is my first 2 weeks. never had any issues with vodafone 50 mbps plan. i’m porting out

    • Damn, thought it was just me. Moved to More nbn- also struggling with playing 1440p youtube. Noticing my down speed fluctuating pretty drastically throughout the day.

      • i spent more than 4 hours in troubleshooting with more and ran multiple tests at different times i can play high resolution only when people arent using it. e.g night 2 AM and morning 6 AM. more tech support referred to NBN who said there is no fault with the line. i am asking refund before moving. i guess its not a bargain when you dont get the speeds and content buffering.

        • Definitely feeling the same way. Funnily enough I'm on 10mbps and I saw my internet speed actually cross into 12-13mbps when I was downloading at 1am. Luck of the draw it seems, but still not worth it.

  • Anyone know how long it generally takes to churn FTTN with More? I set my transfer date to be today, and previously doing the discount NBN dance I'd normally be switched over to the new provider when the clock struck midnight, but seems I'm still with my previous ISP

    • Just an update, literally 5 mins after this comment it switched over. Service has been pretty poor though since switching. Webpages not fully loading, terrible pings in games. Not a fun start!

    More is trash. I'm porting out today after being with them for just 1 week. The speed drops drastically and can't even watch hd movies without buffering. Evening speed is worse I have ever seen and I'm on 100/40

    • Agree with you. i am going through the same and considering Myrepublic. I hope they are good. did More agree to refund you?

      • MyRepublic is equally as bad. Superloop was excellent - regret leaving now.

          • @nektminute: It's not worth the $10-$20 per month. Save yourself the headache and constant complaining from your family.
            I can't play video games without 90-99% packet loss. The worst part is they clearly Quality of Service all the speed tests so when you run a Speed test - no issues - but everything else - slow and painful. More is SHHHH###!T!

              Gaming, youtube, and remote desktop are not acceptable.

      • More doesn't refund outside the first 14 days. I had their technician buy some time by improving my speeds temporarily. After the speeds slowed down again I was outside the cooling off period and they would not refund me.

        • Thanks @Peekaboo looks like im heading that way as i'm at 20 day mark. But i never ran so many speed tests in my life as they want 3 tests in the morning, 3 in the afternoon and 3 in the evening to troubleshoot

          i think the easy way out is just move on rather than dealing with the tech support who downgraded me to 100 mbps from 250 mbps to improve the situation but its gone from bad to worst :)

          • @nektminute: After couple of phone calls to prove that my complaints about speed started before the 14 day trail period, they agreed to refund.

  • I left a complaint with CBA - can't believe they endource this horrible NBN provider. Do not - DO NOT bother. They suck. Their night-time speed is 20% of what you pay for, their support will keep you on hold for 50 minutes then hang up without resolving any issues.

    When I did finally get through to a technician he was so "exhausted" he couldn't help me.

    I can no longer play any online games because the packet loss is 90-99% - as soon as the port was done - immediately my internet has just turned to s#!t.

    • same thing happened to me too. the line gets disconnected after some troubleshooting. i moved to Leaptel and voila i’m getting great speeds and can have a life now. no more at more

    Same here, I switched to More and my speed went to sh*t… BUT, I perservered with support and it seems after a week they sorted it out. Let's hope it sticks!

  • My wife received this offer on her commbank account but our More NBN account is under my name and debits from my commbank account. Can I make a one time payment using my wife’s Commbank card to get claim this benefit?

    • Yes you can. Does anyone know if your account is overpaid in credit can you get a refund to a different card if you churn away? If refund goes back onto a cba card will they reverse the $30 cashback?

      • did you try that? did they send refund or its added as credit for next billing
