Not the all time lowest price but still a very good price for a very good measuring cup. What makes it good is that there's ml and cup measurements angled that allow you to see the measurements when looking above. Making things just a little bit easier.

The Amazon images show the measurements in cups and oz, however you will receive cups and ml.

Kmart and reject shop have standard glass ones for $6 if you don't need the angled reading feature.

    • I have one of these (for mixing stuff in the shed) and its brilliant

I disagree- I had one and it was good until the handle snapped off when it was nearly full due to the leverage of the design across the thin piece of plastic at the top of the grip where it changes direction for the bridge across to the measuring container

        • Confusing

FYI - Amazon are price matching House via Catch

  • I’ve got these. They’re great. Last a long time too

Do the measure prints last in dishwashers?

      • I have one and the measurements on the side have disappeared from dishwasher use. But the angled measurements are still fine.

    • Mine didn't last - the handle snapped off when it was nearly full due to the leverage of the design across the thin piece of plastic at the top of the grip where it changes direction for the bridge across to the measuring container. I did always put in the dishwasher, and I think it may have had boiling water in it from memory… so may have weakened it

Anyone can recommend a brand that can go in dishwasher without losing the measurements? I have a Pyrex glass & that’s just now a jug 😞

    • I've got 2x Pyrex glass measuring jugs that have always been dishwasher-washed over 10+yrs and measurement markings are still intact.

2x mini measuring glass by Avanti are now only useable as shot glasses

    • I have the exact same jug, haha! Cheers 🍻

    • Do you have a pyrex or PYREX one?

    • I've got the pyrex 500ml measuring jug (glass one with red measurements).
Dishwashed for 7 years with no damage to measurements.

      • I don’t know why mine is like that 😞

So many likes for something that's only 10% off according to Catch (61% off according to Amazon, but Catch claims their regular price is $10.99), is a $9 plastic utensil and on the top of that it fades in the dishwasher, according to the comment above.

    • Fairly certain they all lose them from the dishwasher across brands. I'm sure the packaging would recommend handwashing.

      • I'd make sure to buy one with measurments embossed instead of printed then.

        Also this very product has:

        Special Features ‎Dishwasher Safe

        in the description.

        • I'm sure there's some fine print on some of them.

  • How are these with rapid temperature changes?
My plastic measuring cups crack when filled with boiling water :(

    • +2

Not sure if I would be pouring boiling water into a plastic one, but either way, preheating the measuring cup/jug with warm water to reduce the temperature change would be a good idea to prevent damage, I would have thought.

For glass, I recommend the Pyrex glass jug when there’s a 40% off Pyrex sale at Coles/Woolworths. It comes to about $7 but the glass is much thicker than the Kmart ones I saw and the capacity over the 500ml mark seems larger.

    • Pyrex jug FTW

We've got one of these. Whenever we pour liquids it seems to stick to the spout and spill rather than pouring smoothly which is annoying. Not sure if it's the spout design or because it's plastic but would probably not buy again.

  • Still available, 3-4 week wait.
