Same reason Zambreros is so popular in this country. Seems most people are happy with bland garbage posed as foreign cuisine.
Because it's somewhat exotic. It's the only national Vietnamese chain and their trendy marketing and branding draws people in. If you have cool looking restaurants, less people care that what they're eating is crap.

Their pork belly one wasn't that bad when I tried it. Some of them can be bland though (chicken one, for example IIRC).

Totally agree, if you want to try the real Vietnamese food, go to Springvale, Fooscray, St Albans, Sunshine etc…

Master RollAll are chains / multiple outlets that are far far superior to Roll'd. I'd honestly rather pay money at one of those places than eat at Roll'd for free! (Take my OzBargain membership if you like, but that's facts.)
(Phuoc Thanh is my pick personally of the chain banh mi stores, but largely personal preference I believe.)
Edit: Just to be clear, I do agree with you about going to those suburbs for good Vietnamese food! (Just noting for those that are too lazy to go there, that there are other chains that are actually good, unlike Roll'd which is terrible!!)

That happened to me, seems like since it's not hot food they just make it when ordered and put it on the counter with other pickup orders

@choofa: They had about 50 orders on the counter and were fulfilling some orders indiscriminately and telling others to come back later. We were told to come back later. Will see what happens.
@hero88: Mine was waiting there and I’ve now devoured them all. Well at least the main part of each and I have a box full of noodles left over. Too much noodles for one person but pretty tasty and satisfying overall.

Managed to pick up, a bit of a line, but a good, free lunch. Ordered coffee as well and it turned out to be $2.5 rather than their usual $3.90.

Rolld, Collins Place is my local Rolld for the last 8 years. Tried heaps of Rolld stores but this one’s gotta be the best.
