*Edit: much better deals posted in comments. I’m taking advantage of the return policy.

$22.19 fee for CC, PayPal and Apple Pay. $36.98 For AMEX. No charge for Afterpay, Zip, Open Pay or Bank Transfer. Delivery free to metro areas. Deal originally said it would expire Saturday 01/10/2022 11pm however has extended and might extend further. A good starting point gaming PC for anyone like me who has never built one. Otherwise you might benefit from cutting out Windows and getting a better CPU.

If this is actually a bad deal pls feel free to roast me as they have a 14 day change of mind return policy that I can take advantage of.

Not much of a bargain IMHO

    • +1

      Yeah pretty average price overall

Noted. Might have pulled the trigger on the one a little early, weekend deal shenanigans get me. Cheers for the reply, at least no surcharge paid so full refund still an option as long as it’s sealed.

It's not a terrible price but it's, by all means, no bargain either.

        • +2

Not trying to be harsh but its a terrible price. U can just build it with hundreds of dollars saved

    feel free to roast me

got a quote from PCCASE and came up with the same price + delivery and no Surcharge ?

    • Is that with Custom System Assembly? A positive for me is this being pre built, PCCASE charges $249 to build it.

This one beats it IMO. $1,500, comes with a 5600 + tower cooler (not stock cooler) and it allows you to change the CPU, cooler, RAM, storage and add wifi if you want.

Or this with 3060 Ti and with the option to upgrade to a 5600 for just $69

Christ on a bike, these are all much better deals. BPCTECH has never come up on my radar, is there any drawback?

          • +2

@Maccasdinnerbox: I highly doubt it, I've never bought from them personally but the feedback I hear makes up for it. Also if u have been here on ozbargain for a while u can see bpc very often.

@Maccasdinnerbox: I've heard good things and I believe they've been around a bit now. They use off the shelf parts and offer a 2 year warranty so I reckon they should be alright.

If I wasn't building my own I'd buy them to verify. As is they seem good enough that I'm willing to recommend them to friends.

@Maccasdinnerbox: They were originally called budget pc and never has a issue with anything. Unlike centrecom

      • 3060ti loses to the 6800 by 20% according to Techpowerup. If you need Nvidia for whatever reason I'd probably go for the 3070ti build below for $190 extra. Though worth noting that card still loses by 5% ish according to TPU.

    • Is there any reason not to get that? It looks like the spec is pretty balanced, all reasonable name brands, the products individually on their site seem like ok prices, adding it up at their prices means the GPU works out to 630

7000 series is around the corner. Besides that, as far as I can tell it's just a great deal.

  • +4

You should make use of their change of mind policy right now. This is a terrible deal. 1800+ for a 5500?

  • +4

    Here me out here…
U can get the RX 6800 for less than $800.. so wth is the rest of $1000 spent here? 20 YR warranty or smth? Plus the cpu is not great at all, ryzen 5 3600 is much better or they could have put in a 5600 in there. Case is very basic for gaming, I don't think it's bad but its always for cheap builds and i mean $900 cheaper! 16 gigs ram and 1 TB ssd are pretty average. I would assume if i built it manually it would only be around 1400 at most. I would definitely recommend looking at better deals.

Sounds like a roundabout way of asking for advice if you should've bought it or not. But good choice I guess (in posting, not buying it).

The cowards way of asking for advice I suppose
