Surface Laptop is due for a major refresh, including better display hz, 2-3 generation leap in CPU. Plus recent NUC deals make this pretty eh

Thoughts on 13.5" Matte Black Ryzen version of Surface Laptop 4 with 16GB ram/256GB SSD for $1086 ($1799 retail)? Will mainly use as a work laptop so plenty of chrome tabs, excel etc. Currently using a HP Envy with 8GB ram and 1135g7 processor and havent had any issues, ram is fairly maxed out though. I have $300 HN gift cards so might get them to price match.
This morning was notified $1259 was a pricing error and order has been cancelled.
If i want to go ahead with Surface Pro 8 (Graphite) i5 16GB/256GB price is $1679 PLUS extra for the keyboard
No deal considering with keyboard will cost over $2000, and Surface Pro 9 is only few weeks away

In the light of the latest news about the price error: officeworks has better pricing now, but the stock is the issue, they must be clearing them.
They dont have ryzen version with 16gb.

Price matched at local JB HI Fi with HN deal of $1,011. Added extra care repair for $101.10 (dont know why it was $40 lower than the online care cover package). Having the surface 2 laptop provided by my company many months ago, always wanted to get the Surface laptop for personal use and its a decent deal at $1,112 with 5 years of warranty. Only wish it came in black and not platinum
