Vietnam Airlines: London, United Kingdom from $533 One Way, $1220 Return @ Beat That Flight

610

While one-way flights can be had for as low as $374 to the UK with some travel hacking on low cost carriers, sometimes you want a bit more in an airline / fewer stopovers.

With a 4-star Skytrax rating, this is a solid airline to be flying to Europe with, and it's generally only one stop enroute!

All flights include checked luggage, food and entertainment.

I've featured the cheapest Vietnam Airlines dates below, but when you click them there may be cheaper on other airlines (Eg Scoot) - you can use the filters on the left to hide those, or fly with them of course :)

Don't forget to look at the discounted hotels - up to 59% off

Cheap tickets and school holidays usually don't go together

they do, comes with a free 10 days Bali or Hawaii flight cancellation tour with jetstar

    • bit late here Rog, but your best bet might be flying to CDG and then jumping across from there, at this point. Have seen vietnam air ~$1300 return.

    Vietnam Airlines

Not a good deal if you have aerophobia.

Why is it cheaper to fly to the UK than it is to fly to QLD ?

Vietnam Airlines is Vietnamese National Airlines like Qantas of Australia. So all food included with the ticket not like Jetstar where you have to pay extra for food. They only Fly out of Melbourne and Sydney.

    • Vietnam Airlines operates Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City / Hanoi.

  • Sorry for an off topic question.. Do airlines ever discount last minute flights? Say I want to Europe in the next two weeks but I'm quite flexible and can pack and go at short notice. Is there a good way to find last minute deals?

    • +1

Not now, there are more demand than supply at the moment, they don't need to give out heavy discount to fill the seats.
In fact, they are cutting flights because there aren't enough staffs.

      • there aren't enough staffs.

Then they can go get staff !!!

https://beatthatflight.com.au/index.php/flexisearch/ can help if you're flexible.

If you're really after cutting costs, look for cheap 'entry' points into Europe - Athens, Istanbul, Berlin for example. Once you're in Europe it's often very easy to hop last minute onto a low cost carrier for under a $100 almost anywhere. Or train/bus.

But yeah, last minute flights tend to be people who NEED to fly (eg funerals) and as such there's often disincentive to discount them.

        The journey is the holiday.

Having lived in London for almost a decade I actually did more holidays in Europe than the UK. It is faster flying to anywhere within 2hrs of London than it is to go from London to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Best one ever is when you work in Canary Wharf and take the Docklands light rail to London City and you could be on the plane in under 1 hour then you are off.

Commies offering us cheap capitalism though. Almost like they don't know how capitalism works, we must take advantage of this until they find out!

Plenty of Premium Economy seats on a wide time frame available, $1995 Return to Paris and 2255 to London. Even returning end of August. That is an amazing deal.

@beattthatflight have you considered doing premium economy and business class deals as well? Definitely an untapped market on ozbargain ;)

  • That is a great price, we were actually planning to travel to London during that time, so one way fare to March is amazing but it seems the return in late April and early May is expensive. Is there a cheaper fare around that time of return as well? Flexible to travel back from some other part of europe too.

    • Paris or Frankfurt to Syd. Same Price in early April

  • WOW, so cheap, pity so cold during them early 23' months

  • Is there anything like this for a one-way from Europe in Feb? I'm flexible with my return date but can't seem to find cheap prices for coming back to Sydney.
