Dyson V11 Outsize Total Clean Stick Vacuum Cleaner $879.98 Delivered @ Costco Online (Membership Required)

510

Ends today so buy now, think tomorrow. Besides, free returns anyway with Costco so may as well try after you buy.

Cheapest I’ve seen for brand new. There were refurb models you could buy on Dyson’s eBay page back in January ($849), additional 20% off applied in checkout.

The outsize model comes with a 1.9L bin though you’ll probably run out of battery before the bin fills up anyway. That being said battery is swappable if you have a spare for a big house and the outsize model also has a larger head for more surface area per stroke.

Dyson V10 available as well for $767.99 delivered.

Happy Dealing!

Op's post is an outsize model. Bigger can to can your rubbish.

    • Yeah that was a solid deal but no longer available unfortunately

    • is the v12 as powerful as this one?

    • dosnt have the removable battery?

  • Yeah, they are doing 20% off all vacuums. You reckon this is the pick of the bunch? This one they have been trying to clear.

    • +5

Depends. If you have mostly carpet apparently V11 is better. If you have mostly hard floors V12. If you have stupid money V15.

      • +1

We're still rocking a DC35 Animal. It must be over 10 years old now. Kind of waiting for it to die before we upgrade. Don't think we're allowed to get a new one until then. We do have a ball Dyson too which is how we can get away with the older stick vacuum.

        • +2

Ooof. Welp, DC35 had a maximum suction of 65w but that’s probably a lot less now that it’s 10 years old (hence why Leo DiCap gets a new GF every few years).

The V11 suction is around 180w so nearly three times as powerful! Larger haid and bin plus significantly better battery life will probably save you time on cleaning and we all know time = money.

          • @Pelicannn: We have tiled floors and quickly vacuum and mop pretty much every day so it's fine for us. We don't really need to bring out the ball vacuum very often as there's usually not much left to clean.

P.S. If it were up to me I would clean less often but I don't really have a say in it…

            • @ozbs25: get a robot instead

              • @T1OOO: Would rather spend the money on something else to be honest. Vacuuming only takes a few minutes when you do it regularly. Half the time I just do it instead of playing or reading with our toddler. He likes to help us with whatever we are doing so it's like doing to chores at once.

        • Also with Costco return policy you could buy and try. Not worth the dollars just return for a full refund :)

        • Aren't you sick of having to fish out the dust along the edge of the bin and filter? I'm so glad I got a v8 after having a dc58, the upgraded empty mechanism was totally worth it!

          • @lainey13: Never had a different one so don't know anything else. Sometimes have to use a long chopstick or something like that to clean it. We don't wear shoes inside have no pets and have tiled floors so maybe don't need to deal with as much as some others may have to.

I'm sure if we try something better it'll be a revelation but for now it's ok.

        • Dyson give a large discount (30% I think) to customers who have registered a stick vacuum that is no longer in production FYI.

          • @Whatup: Yeah, I've seen that offer on here before. We'll probably try to take advantage of it when the time comes to get a new one.

      • what about hard floors but i have two dogs that can probably make a rug every week lol. We have the V8 but for some reason it stops and starts alot when we're using the long stick (its not clogged)

        • Stopping and starting is usually a symptom of having hair caught in the spindle that holds the roller in the head. It was super common on the early models including V8.

You should be able to remove the spindle by undoing a small 90 degree lock on the side of the head with a coin and then pop out the head. Look in and see if there is a lot of hair trapped around the spindle. I had the same issue on my V7.

  • This is the best dyson, bigger everything!

  • I have this one. That's seriously cheap for outsize

  • 31 left, don't sit on the fence for too long!

Thanks OP, just grabbed one as my v10 animal is falling apart after many years of loyal service! :)

  • Is the softroller head on the outsize also bigger size or starndard size? From all the videos i saw, only the carpet roller head on outsize is larger and rest are the same. Correct?

    • Yes the soft roller is the normal size.

    • only the main head is bigger (motorhead), the rest the same my man.

  • Wish any of the detects had 20% off. Would have jumped on it.

    • They do have the V15 detect with $300 off for $1149 https://www.costco.com.au/Kitchen-Laundry-Appliances/Vacuums…

      • Is that an all time low?

        • Yes as much as I can find, if not probably close to it.

      • Oh my, what sales are due soon?
Not sure if I should wait.

What’s the return policy like for online purchase. Still at store?
Can we return if price changes in next few months?

  • Is this different from the current outsize model. The current one seems to be more in line with v12/v15

    • V11 is an older model than the V12 but does benefit from being better in carpet than the newer model.

      • Is the new outsize a v12 outsize? I thought it was just called dyson outsize.

        • +1

Yeah it’s basically a V12 with the outsize features.

What is happening in the world when people pay $900 for a vacuum??

    • Yeah I get that and all, but after I put my first Dyson to test I couldn’t go back.

I cleaned the house with the old vacuum, then immediately went over it with the Dyson and filled the bin with dirt and dust out of the carpet. For what you pay they certainly do clean your floors as advertised.

      • We had a Dyson and it was useless. It clogged easily, was a pain to empty, filter needed cleaning all the time and the motor burnt out just outside warranty. Going over the floors with the Dyson is a myth, if you go over it with the same vac it will pick up more dirt.

        • "the motor burnt out just outside warranty"

Did you contact them? They probably would have replaced it for free.

        • They haven’t been a problem to empty for a number of years. This must have been ages ago.

    • Are you going to post that comment on every high-ticket item posted on Ozbargain? What a waste of time. People have different needs, wants and budgets.

        Just on the overpriced rubbish

        • Obviously just to you. No need to rant ad nausem.

          • -1

@zhenjie: For that money you can buy a decent pushy with disk brakes … Or you can get a rubbish plastic vacuum.

  • Bought this model when it first released two years ago, this is a great price. I have a large 4 bdrm house, carpet upstairs, floorboards downstairs, two cats and the bin is about half full after vacuuming. Picks up heaps of fine dust.

Be aware the battery doesnt last me a full vacuum, only the carpeted top floor. I also reached out to Dyson a month ago as the wand attachment broke. I'm out of the standard two year warranty period by six months and they still sent me a replacement free of charge. Not bad customer service for what its worth.

  • Still rocking the dc25 & a v6!

  • Its OOS now

    • +1

Edit: nope, I can still add to cart and check out. Might have been a website glitch!

      • Yeah. Possibly a glitch. I’m able to add to the cart now.
