All time low price for 3070Ti? but only 2 fans tho.

    • -1

Yup. The 2 fans is a no go for me. I cannot stand the aesthetical look of 2 fans when I’m running my 4K Games at 144hz even running a windowless case. Down the shitter.

      • +1

Honestly… What are you even trying to say!? You can't stand a 2 fan card because u can't stand the "aesthetics-Al" but you can't see it because it's a windowless case?… What?… I don't think it's a great a price but I'm not sure I'm following what your saying either…

      • They're talking about the thermals, not the way it looks.

        • Obviously but thermals on this are a non-issue.
Guess the sarcasm can’t be detected here.

          • +1

@ToyotaCrownHybrid: Nah, you just forgot to mention that thermals are a non-issue, and what you did say didn't seem to make a lot of sense (I think you forgot some words or something)

    • +2

Not all two fans models are the same, this is close to a three slots card, the heat sink is thick, and runs very cool.

  • +2

Imaging people who just purchased Gigabyte one from this deal

    • +12

That had 1 more year of warranty and 3 fans i guess

      • +2

GDDR6X runs hot, need 3 fans at least.

        • +1

Yup the $100 difference would be quality of products and cooler design. Gigabyte use their 3080 cooler on the 3070ti so you know it's overspec. Can't confirm on galax cards. some brands use the 3070 cooler on the 3070ti and they struggle due to additional heat.

        • +3

A 3070ti is perfectly fine with 2 fans.

    • Free returns if they haven’t used it yet

    • +15

You’re doing what to them? Like photocopying them or something?

    • Better brand tbh

    • +1

I told them it was a shit deal and got negged for it lol.

#They hated Jesus because he told them the truth.

  • +2

This or used 3080 for 800-900?

    • +3

      wait for Radeon 7k release.

      • would buy R7800 for $800, sweet spot price.

    • ex-mined metrocomau on ebay gives 3 months wrty, this one has 2 years.

      only 10-15% perf diff.

      • Agreed, but if it says non-LHR stay away from those as they are older models and have mined more. LHR ones should probably be OK.

        • Miner told me there were other coins to mine on LHR cards. I thought I was being smart when I asked if bios had been flashed to mine with and he said not necessary, other coins available. He mentioned RVN and FIRO. But, doesn't really matter…I bought a miner card, works beautifully.

          • @whorishmouth: I am on a miner card for last 3 years, still going strong. GB GTX 1080.

    • +4

If u trust the miners keep their cards in good condition then 3080 used

    • Most likely ex-mining cards. I’d go this unless the 3080 is less than a year old and still has original invoice for warranty

    • +3

They don't cost that much anymore. With ex-miners dumping cards, it's dropped quite a bit in only a couple of weeks since the ETH merge.

Used RTX 3080s on ebay are going for as little as $642 in recent auctions, plenty around $750 or less:

      https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=rtx+3080&_…

  • +2

getting better but I think you'll be kicking yourself for not waiting for Radeon 7000. They should be pretty good value.

    • +4

In the short or medium term, I think the glut of used ex-mining cards over will affect the price more than the AMD launch.

RTX 3070s on ebay are going for a bit under $600 Buy It Now, but around $500 in auctions, and falling steadily.

      • +3

I've seen 6700 going for around $450. Ex mining cards are pretty great choices right now.

  • +2

They are starting to sound reasinabley priced. Any chance we'll have a gpu glut soon?

    • +4

It's happening, just slower than we'd like. Check ebay auctions over the next few weeks, it's falling steadily.

  • +9

Might finally upgrade my GPU soon thanks to these prices coming down. Have held off for years because of how ridiculous they were.

This has more votes than my deal - I need to work on my marketing skills!

      • +1

Sorry, your post didn't show up when I searched before posting this deal.

  • +1

Came here for the mini comments - was disappointed

    • Please keep your expectations to a 'mini'mum level.
I will see myself out :D

  • +3

Dammit. Need a good 3080 12GB or 3080 Ti deal.

    • +2
      • +2

        That is neither of those?

        • +1

Nor a good deal. Why would I want that crusty old card when I can buy a brand new 3080 10GB for $1000?

          • @Vita85: well you didn't specifically said brand new deal

            • @[Deactivated]: Unless I'm mistaken, this deal is for a new card.

            • @[Deactivated]: Aaaannd its a Non-LHR which has been mined the crap out of. Wouldn't pay $400 for that garbo

  • +3

    Still 50% over priced.

  • damn i would absolutely jump on this if i needed a good 2K card. great price

  • +4

    Hold.

This is a $350 card at best right now

    • Could you explain for someone OOTL? Do these not perform that well or do you mean to just wait for the glut to impact prices fully?

      • +1

        the latter

  • +5

Just wait for another 3months and the price would be discounted for another 30% at least as Nvidia and other suppliers have massive stocks + new 4070 is on the way.

    • +1

Just wait another year or two, or three

      • +5

I’m holding out for the 5070 tbh. It’ll push the price of the 4070 into reasonable range, and the 3070 into bargain territory.

Sure, I won’t be able to game in the meantime, but when was the last time any of us played games anyway?

  • +7

My 1070 wants to enter retirement from 1440p gaming so badly, but he'll have to survive at least till AMD drops concrete info and pricing on their new cards. I've made it this far, may as well keep waiting.

    • +2

Fellow 1070 owner here. Hodling for a lower price on a 3070.🤞
      Stay strong friend.

  • +3

I'd take the 3070 at 699 over the Ti for 749, it's roughly the same price to performance, but the 3070 uses standard GDDR6 instead of GDDR6X and uses a lot less power to do so. 290w vs 220w iirc, ~30% more power for 7% more perf is a no from me dawg.

    • The RX 6800 is also 5% faster than the 3070 Ti but uses 70 watts left.

  • +1

    Need deals on 3080Ti

Best deal at the moment is this but $1400 which is what the 3090 was going for recently. 3080Ti need to get down to about $1100-1200 based on the price of the lower tier cards.
    https://www.centrecom.com.au/inno3d-geforce-rtx3080-ti-ichil…

    • This is a better deal than that, but still not good.

      • +1

The 3080Ti is only about 10% better at 4K then the 3080 10GB

The Galax 3080 10GB is still going for $999 so these should be in the $1100-1200 mark.

The 4080 12GB is probably going to be about $1600 at launch, who knows though but leaked pricing indicated that could be the price. If the 3080Ti is similar in performance its not too bad, but I'd wait for AMD 7000 series.

There's also the ASUS TUF 6900XT for $1199
        https://www.pcbyte.com.au/p/asus-amd-radeon-rx-6900-xt-tuf-g…

  • +1

    $250 extra for 3080 though i dunno……

  • -1

What is the MSRP value of this card now? Wonder if a 3080 TI will get under $700?

    • +1

      You’ll struggle to find a 2080ti for sub-$1,000.

      • You mean 3080ti i assume.

        • Even a new 2080ti looks to be going for around a grand.
