    Solid price.

Makes no sense though not while the 5600x is now 239 on sale which smokes this

      • +3

Depends if you've already got a compatible mobo

        • +3

B350-B450 for $20-40 on marketplace makes 5600x still infinitely better imo

      • +1

        Link please. 5600x for $239.

        • -1

5600 is $239 pretty much at every online store.. the 5600X is 1% faster on average :).. check reviews on you tube for proof.

If you get a B2 revision 5600 it will be faster vs a 5600x B0 stepping and under volt -PBO like crazy

          • +3

            @vid_ghost: Link please to 5600x at $239.

          • @vid_ghost: Cheapest 5600X on pc part picker is $299 and the cheapest it's been on ozbargain is $280

      • Cheapest 5600X on pc part picker is $299 and the cheapest it's been on ozbargain is $280

  • Damn, that's cheap. If you don't overclock can be an efficient processor.

  • Great price, looks like they’re clearing it out

  • This one doesn't have iGPU?

    • +6

It does, Intel UHD graphics 630

    • +3

If the model ends with F then it has no iGPU

    • +3

As @FireRunner has said any modern Intel processor that doesn't contain an F in the title contains integrated graphics. If you find a i7 10700KF the K designates overclocking support on supported chipsets and F designates it does NOT contain an integrated graphics chip.

  • Very good price for those CPU intensive tasks.

  • nice, just need a cheap z490/z590 motherboard to go with it

  • +7

Even at this price I don't know if it's clearly better than a similarly-priced newer 6 core e.g., 5600. In some multi-threaded workloads they trade blows rather than the 10700K winning, and then in lightly-threaded workloads the 5600(X) naturally wins: https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/2664?vs=2676

With a decent (and compatible) B450 board available for $129 that's still cheaper than what you'll typically be able to get an equivalent LGA 1200 motherboard for, making total cost for either option roughly the same.

Depends what u can get a lga 1200 mobo for then. Although the i7 has intergrated graphics and depends on the mobo the 5600x wont even boot without a gpu

      • Fair point on the iGPU.

An LGA1200 board looks to be $129-$150ish unless you dip into the H510 bargain bin (which at that point is not a comparable board).

    • this one has got an iGPU tho.

      • Yes, for plex users this is a no brainer.

  • I have the i5-10400F, would this be worth upgrading to?

    • Sure

    • Same question (I have the 'K'), for me I don't think so. Comparison.

      • +1

Userbenchmarks is unreliable. Look at real benchmarks for a better comparison

  • no more $199

  • Daaamn, thought about it too long and it's gone

  • Muzeeb left Dell and went to Amazon.

He says this is not a pricing error, and that he is looking for a new job again.

    • +1

This. This is exactly what I was thinking. We love you Muzeeb bhai.

  • Got one. Cheers

  • +2

still available - on right hand side amazon is still there for $199. just ordered

    • Yeah I got one, will see if I build something with it or just sell it. Probably a price error?

  • +1

For those complaining about LGA 1200 pricing vs B450 boards all I say is that's hogwash. You can slap this 10700K in this MSi A PRO Z490 mobo for only $138 delivered which is perfectly affordable

The MSi Z490 A PRO's VRM is fine at running the 10700K OCed and is even able to deal with a power hog like the i9-10900K without issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdgNEXpBrfg

Z590 A PRO is also only $1 more delivered ($139)

Use code MCPAY10V4 to get those discounted prices

  • It's not out of stock

    • Tried adding to cart?

      • Bought one just now.

        • I'm getting an error on the app

          • @Techie4066: Try desktop it's on the right hand side

          • @Techie4066: Seems that I got the last one Sold by: Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd.
            Now from 3rd party 449.

            • @tedzozb: Yeah it seems it has sold out.

            • @tedzozb: Well, good thing you stopped me from considering a half-upgrade to my i5-8600. I'd rather do it properly since a new mobo is necessary.

  • Can confirm sold out. Got one cheers OP
