Used my $25 off $150 ebay plus voucher code instead to pick it up for $149. Codes didn't stack unfortunately.

Just for confirmation, have people been able to use this as a recharge by talking to boost customer service online? I haven't had to do that since December, and my partner's 365 days have just expired.

    • correct

    • Curious too if they're still being generous. I did my last chat with support for this in Dec.

      • I called them and did two. No questions asked and they were well across it. Just say you purchased a new sim instead of a recharge. Ideally, they will first activate the new SIM into your account. They can then transfer the balance to original and then cancel the new SIM. Best done that way rather than which some agents try to do i.e. activating new SIM and then transferring your number to it.

You might have more luck going Boost direct, but not sure.

  • Does this provide 5g service?

"The trial will run until 26 September 2022" I believe it does not have 5G.

    • My Boost sim currently does 5G

If you're on the higher plan you might be lucky, or it's been extended, 4 days ago when we finished a boost plan the phone still had 5G. Although there was no noticeable difference in page load times, which is server location/latency based.

        • I think it's been extended and sounds like it's going to be permanent. Boost is showing 5G on their coverage maps now.

          I'm on the $200 365 day plan.

          • @cv05: Nice maybe full Telstra network includes 5G for now. Time will tell.

  • is this deal available for pre-existing customers? do I need to call to keep my current number?

You could ask chat and see how you go, sometimes they're OK with it, there is another deal I posted that is Boost direct that might have more luck. You could say "Sorry I purchased this as a recharge and didn't realise", but not sure.

FYI I've been able to pricebeat at OfficeWorks from the luckymobile website, and have also managed to transfer from Telstra and previously used to re-provision on an existing boost pre paid plan using the chat feature on the boost website, but YMMV

  • Any deal if you looking to recharge?

Late 2019 we saw Boost being sold in Florida. Asked them if any calls were included to and from Australia and if they were related.
Store attendant told us: They were not recommend and after kits sold out removed from sale. Puzzled!

  • price jacked to 188, OP expire this deal.
