Delonghi Dedica Expresso Machine (with Bonus Kettle and 4-Slice Toaster) $299 Delivered @ Delonghi

740

Was in the market for a kettle and toaster. Found this at $399 (down from $699 rrp) at the time. Recently came down to $299. Sign up to newsletter to get extra 10% off. Beige colour only left.

Heard Delonghi kettles and toasters were pretty good. Hope the coffee machine is ok. Looks to have ok reviews on YouTube and is compact. Could probably sell it for $150 if not needed.

  • Pity about the colour but otherwise looks like a pretty good deal if you were in the need for all three of these things!

love the Dedica, makes great coffee and takes up far less bench space than most others

I've been liking it too. Only issue I find is the machine is a bit too light so it shifts around a bit when locking in the portafilter. And the steam wand angle is too low, I need to tilt the machine to get the milk jug thing under and out of it.

    expresso machine

Does this machine make coffee particularly quickly?

    • Yes! Thus the term!

  • Thanks OP, we were actually looking at the kettle and toaster yesterday!

    • Well if you haven't already bought it, let me tell you that I have the kettle and 2 slice version of this toaster. The kettle is OK, base is way to light and moves around on the bench. I really don't like the toaster, inconsistent results. The second cycle is always untoasted compared to the firsts one.

    Anyone receiving the 10% code?
Believe its WELCOME10 but makes no difference the price

  • OOS. I had one in the cart but was waiting for my 10% off, which I also didn't get.

Went to checkout anyway, then they removed it from my cart and now it's OOS.

Edit: Now order went though… But still no 10%off code

    Code is THANKS10

  • Sorry guys that went quick! It was listed as "in stock" at posting time but must've been low in quantity.

    • Says in-stock for me right now

  • is it too late ask this or bambino plus?

I picked up an EC685 (this one is EC785) from Aldi for $179 earlier in the year and it has been awesome, couldn't be happier with the narrow size, fast warm up time and quality of the coffee. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/709854

I just wish my one came with a nice tamper like this one does and a second double-scoop basket so I could load up a second one while the first shot is drawing. The single scoop basket is way too small and we never use it.

NB: I've never used the steam wand, so I can't comment on that part.

Pretty sure that coffee machine is what smeg rebrands for their 50s retro coffee machine. The steam wand is abit short and cumbersome and steaming is a pita really. Steams one minute, spits water or runs out of steam the next.

    • Agree. The steam wand is pretty bloody useless. It’s the main thing making me want to upgrade. Coffee is good.

Look up dedica zip tie hack and rancillo steam wand upgrade. I put the rancillo steam wand in mine. Plenty of video tutorials out there. Cheaper than buying a new machine.

  • Back in stock! Just bought one and THANKS10 worked.

    • Thanks for the heads up, snagged one.

Just came into stock again! $269.10 shipped with code THANKS10.

If you are hoping to make flat whites, cappuccinos etc the "Panarello" steam wand on these models will most likely disappoint.

These machines are good for the espresso shot though so if you are only making espresso, long blacks and so on they are great (you will need an single wall (unpressurised) basket for best results though).

The Dedica Arte EC885 is the model that comes with a proper steam wand (and most likely still needs unpressurised basket).

The models with the Panarello wand seem to be getting run out, either $150-$180 or bundled with stuff like this deal.

  • Just had my order refunded, "Unfortunately we do not have any stock of this bundle to fulfill your order."

Was showing in stock at the time of purchase, and still is now FWIW, at a cheaper price than previously.. quite annoying as this ticked all the boxes for me.

    Anyone else?

    • I received only the coffee machine today and they are saying the bundle has been OOS for 3 weeks now. After chatting to customer support, they agreed to honour the toaster, not the kettle.
Extremely rude customer support, making me feel I am robbing them or something.
Going to return the machine and they can keep the toaster! Bloody hell!

      • I received the Toaster and the Kettle, but not the Espresso Machine. I need to contact their customer support when they reopen tomorrow. Very disappointing.

        • Update: I've now received all three appliances without too much fuss in the end.
