  • Just beat me to it.

    TN panel?

  • +2

    Worth it ?

Various posts of minitors are posted recently…

But need to dive into it TN/VA ,Fhd,4k, 144Hz..

    • +1

For gaming no. For watching movies no.

It's full hd at 27" which is kinda a let down. But it is quite a good budget option at 75hz in my opinion.

      • +3

It's a pretty crap monitor overall but good price. Take it how you will.

        • +1

          Yep exactly that.

  • -2

    Buy first, question later

    • I cant buy it online dammit (need something to replace my 49 lol)

  • Is this a membership only special or can get it using gift card

    • In-store only so would.need to be a member

      • -2

Don't need to be a member to shop in-store at costco, which is why I'm asking

        • +2

          Yes you do?

          • @31mop: nah you don't.
I've been shopping with a gift card

            • @michael9865: You can't get inside of Costco without a membership or without a presence of another member.. Nothing to do with a gift card..

              • @lookingforTV: Yeah you can, gift card acts as a membership, i thought it only worked in America but it works here to as I and many others have been shopping with a gift card only, no need for a membership

                • @michael9865: So if someone purchases a Costco gift card for you, even though its card balance is $0, Costco lets you in then you pay with your debit/credit card??

                  • @lookingforTV: you pay using gift card as long as part of it is paid with a gift card you can pay rest with card, I buy another gift card when have low balance on existing one,
but yes you can enter even if balance is 0 but you can't buy anything unless you have at least a cent on the card

                    • @michael9865: I am assuming Cosco doesn’t check if you are a member to buy their gift cards. Costco gift cards are for members to gift it to a non-member to try Cosco. Nice trick.

                      • +1

@lookingforTV: yep but you can buy a gift card with an existing gift card but pay rest with card as a gift card acts like a membership but you just don't get the other privileges with it like lifetime warranty

The deal on the garage system was good too - Torin 8 piece 599 from 1099

    https://www.costco.com.au/Home-Improvement/Storage-Organisat…

This one is $599 in store

  • Its 75hz for anyone wondering

  • -1

    Good price for a 1920x1080 75hz LCD

  • +8

Full HD for 27" should be banned

    • why? (am noob)

      • No. No. I'm curious too

      • Because I said so /s.

Just that the Pixel Per Inch is horrendous akin to looking at a 720p resolution on a cheap 7 inch phablet.

        • Even for WFH? I don't use my monitor for anything but that. No movies, no games, my tv is for that. Serious question

          • +1

@Frugalbargainator: Okay for WFH stuff if not for graphic or cinematic purpose.

          • +2

@Frugalbargainator: Depends on what you do. WFH may literally mean anything.

            • @bio: True, they could be a designer or artist that works from home (very common) and so a good quality monitor is a must

            • @bio: I'm a webcam party boy

              • +1

                @Frugalbargainator:

                I'm a webcam party boy

Then it's perfect for you because you won't have an unnecessarily detailed view of what your clients are doing.

          • +1

            @Frugalbargainator: Its ideal for WFH.

    • They're fine at this size.

I've got one as a second monitor, an HP 27" FHD IPS @ 60hz, next to a Dell 27" QHD IPS @ 75hz.

I'd be wary of this BenQ's TN panel though…

    • just remember 49 inch 1080p ultrawides exist

I sure am glad we’re getting a Full monitor & not one of those dodgy Partial ones! #Typo

  • Holy crap, people on here are crazy. It's a sub $150 monitor. It's fine for shitty office work if that's all you do.

    • True. But we can't deny that its not very good at all, just okay at best. U can get better monitors close to that price also.

      • Like?

        • One from Kogan, A dahua, What seems to me as a good quality acer.

I'd really haave to dig around honestly but its not that hard to find better deals. I didn't list any gaming, 144hz, curved monitors as that wasn't the topic but there were a lot of very good priced ones.

          • +1

            @LuslecGrace: They're all 24" though.

If you're after 27", you can get a Lenovo D27-30 @ The Good Guys for $183. At least that's a VA panel.

            JB sell it for $239
            HN sell it for $268

Your eyes will thank you for not buying a TN panel.

            • @jwh: Well i was looking for 24" as its much better for FHD. But good choices

            • @jwh: I don't know anything about monitors, but is the Lenovo the best one you reckon at that price range? If so, I'm ready to buy 2. Thank you internet stranger :)

              • @illiterate: I haven't used one and I'm not sure what your expectations and use case are, but the user reviews appear positive.

                -VA Panel
                -75hz
                -AMD Freesync
                -3yr Warranty

I can't see anything similar/better from an easy to purchase retail store.

                • @jwh: I dont really understand what any of that means haha. I use an old office monitor for my gaming right now, so anything would be an upgrade. Just wanted to buy 2 monitors without spending too much. You sound like you know what you're talking about so imma get two. Thanking you :)

  • Is it really Full 27"? /s

  • Can also purchase this using gift card in which case don't need membership

  • +1

Don't get full hd at 27 inch, it's really noticeable. I got a 144hz one and you can see the individual pixels. Would much rather a 24

  • True, my main concern when buying a monitor is the ability to get a good rug deal on same visit

  • Waiting for 24 inch for the PPi on 1080p

  • did anyone check stock levels?

  • What about trading with charts? Is it good?
