    • Same except I can see they took $ from my Gift Card Balance page.

      • Same. My Amazon credit balance has been charged, (pending) so shows I have less credit than I actually have

        • Same thing happened to me. Did you manage to get it sorted yet? Amazon support are being pretty useless for me.

          • +1

            @turbochris: Nope. So far I'm down $272.

Tried online chat. Tried calling, that's was an hour phone call. On speakerphone while doing other things.
They kept asking for last four digits of my credit card, they said they couldn't see my order anywhere, they gave me my gift card balance which was - $272. They have no idea what's going on. I sent them screenshots of the 3 pending charges… And since last week it's just been "wait 24 hours"

            Pretty useless and ridiculous

            • @Spending2Much: Check your account now, mine is fixed and the order appears in the usual place like all the other orders as though nothing ever went wrong.

    • Yeah it isn't obtainable and Amazon CS just fobs you off and says to contact Amazon UK

  • honestly not sure why mods left this on the frontpage for so long. no real account of anyone actually successfully ordering after the initial 2 hours of listing.

  • yep no idea, ordered, no money taken, no record of the order, very strange, what a shame

    • +1

Some for me. Chatted to them, they said it never happened. I reordered while chatting with them, still nothing. Apparently going to get back to me in the next 24 hours with some sort of resolution. Assured me I would get the price once they fix it. If you really want it at this price, I would recommend chatting to them because they have literally no records of these orders.

      • Same problem here, apparently there is some record as they report a duplicate if you order again (happened for me on the third purchase). Apparently they have some problem with the item and are working on it.

  • Note there is a similar set that is derived from this, Wera bicycle set 3, and includes a case

    Currently $115.87 from Amazon UK

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B07X4HRP3X?

    • 9502/9503 are tyre levers?

Seems the same kit with these two extra pieces…but, the third photo shows some conversion between two different cases??
To only take a few tools, not all of them?

The bag looks cool though, for extra $25, ($114.25 now) probably I'd be happy sticking with the $89 tool check kit

    • +3

Having ordered both, I can shed some light:
      - Very similar kits, with the exceptions of the extra case, tyre levers and some different bits: the kit with the case has hex bits while the other one doesn’t (check out the part list to compare them).
      - The soft case is very nice/handy and you get the extra plastic holder, both of which are reasons enough to pay a bit extra for since you can’t get them by themselves cheaply.
      - This is important: with the Bicycle set (kit with the case), DO NOT order from Amazon AU if you want the tyre levers, order from Amazon UK seller instead (in this instance you’d get it from Amazon UK anyway since it’s cheaper). The AU kit does not come with tyre levers despite the image showing it. The 3 kits I got from AU does not come with tyre levers (1 initial order + 2 replacements after I contacted CS). Reps chalked it up to listing error but they still haven’t changed the listing. I ended up getting it from UK and got the correct set first time. The tyre levers are ~$30 by themselves.
      - Minor difference: the hard plastic case (the actual thing that flips open): AU version has the button release while UK one doesn’t. Initially the AU version seems nicer but I ended up keeping the UK since the AU mechanism seems like it will fail easier later down the track, you also get more space between the bits and sockets thanks to the absence of the release button.

  • Another 12% off the $89.54, for the 'Buy2-Save 12%' range available.
If you can find something you need or want, or is a good price….m

  • what makes this such a good deal?

    • spending your hard earn money in good stuff

  • Same deal here. Ordered like 5 times haha. Apparently it's an emerging issue and has been escalated. I asked about the price and they said I cannot speculate on this right now but rest assured I will call you regarding this. Their support is a joke lol

  • this set is now part of the buy 2 get 12% off deal, so it's even more tempting now you can select from a whole range of WERA tools to be the 2nd item.

I have a gift card balance of $80 but I don't wanna risk it being deducted and the order not going through again.

I've tried buying this set at least 8 times now…

Anyone else placed an order today had it properly processed?

Amazon AU customer support has gone from great to an absolute joke.

They keep trying to fob me off to Amazon Japan even though the matter has absolutely nothing to do with Japan.

Then they either just stop replying or they "disconnect due to a technical issue".

Meanwhile payment has been deducted from my gift card balance even though the orders don't exist.

It's obvious that absolute bottom dollar trash customer service centres are employed here.

    • Try calling them instead on 1800 990 253 (press 1 for english then 1 for deliveries/orders).

They advised there's a known issue with ordering this product and (apparently) with a technical team to resolved.

They also sent an email to me afterwards confirming the call and that i'll be able to re-purchase at the current sale price once the product is purchasable again, so long as it's from one of the Amazon sellers, not a vendor.

I guess it's just a waiting game now.

I tried purchasing with ccard (not gift card) and thankfully no funds deducted. I hope you get your money back or they finally sort this issue out.

      • +1

Thanks, I might give that a go when I have another hour to waste.

It's not just with this current issue though. Amazon support used to have access to information and have the ability to change/fix things on your account, the personnel were also competent and had postive attitudes. Now they have zero clue and just disconnect you when they get tired of spamming their canned responses.

        • I also got the "disconnect due to a technical issue" about half a dozen times in one chat over 40 minutes.

          • @rokufan: Finally we're getting somewhere.

I just called again after seeing the comment by @FizzBalls .

The price is now $114.69 (as opposed to $88.29 it used to be this week) but ordered it anyway and this time with the Wera ratcheting screw driver, for 12% off.

Sure enough the order worked, I got an order # and an email confirmation and the support staff confirmed this as well.

She also re-imbursed the price difference, happy days.

            • +2

@edy80y77: I'm back dealing with these idiots.

Still no order confirmation emails and not visible in my order history.

However the orders and duplicate order now show up if I click through my gift card balance history.

Can't cancel the orders, error "We're sorry. An error occurred when we tried to process your request. Rest assured, we're working to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Please try again in a few minutes." No doubt due to the ongoing technical issues.

Talking with Amazon they are refusing to cancel the orders. Lying and claiming the orders are already shipped when tracking shows they have not.

An absolute joke, it's like the new Dick Smith.

              • @bobjane: I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's not ideal but what about calling again and speaking with someone else? you might end up with someone with 1/2 a brain instead of 1/4 ?

                • @edy80y77: Thanks. None of this is targetted at you btw, I'm just putting down info which might be useful to others dealing with the same thing.

At this point I think it'll be easier to take delivery and then return them. I've banged my head against maybe 7 or 8 Amazon reps and they're just saying whatever to get you off the chat/phone, complete waste of time.

  • +2

    Working now.

  • So if you go to the link for the item, check in the top left corner. Mine shows, you have purchased this item 3 times. LOL. It has captured one of the orders and showing an order number. The other 2, no idea.

  • +3

Wow I kept ordering per the advise of not one but two Amazon CS reps I chatted with on different days who said the orders hadn't been processed and to keep trying over 24-48 hours. I never received any order numbers, no email confirmation, nothing appearing in order history, nothing appearing in message centre, no banner on the product pages stating I've ordered the items before.

Then this afternoon, I still couldn't see the orders anywhere, but I went back on to the product pages and all of a sudden I can see a banner saying "Purchased 9 times. You last purchased this item on 26 Oct, 2022 | View order details" - I click through and I can see the order confirmation but only for the last order and it has an order number. I still can't see it anywhere else on my account, not in order history, nothing in message centre, no email. I have no way of finding all the other previous order numbers. I can't even cancel the most recent order, it errors when I click through and select to cancel the items.

So today I actually called Amazon CS, they still couldn't see the orders on my account. Gave them the full 17 digit order number of the most recent order being the only one I had, then they could find it and said it had been successfully processed but I didn't have a lot of confidence in what they were telling me by this stage.

Ultimately they were extremely unhelpful, when they realised it was a non-standard issue which couldn't resolve or follow a standard customer resolution workflow, they just hung up the phone on me.

And just to complicate things I was bundling different items together across multiple orders to see if one of them would ultimately process correctly and also to qualify for the "Buy 2 save 12% discount", so now I'm worried I'm going to receive and be charged 20+ orders for the same bunch of items all from Amazon UK…

    • +2

Update: All orders now appear to be showing in my Order history as of this morning, Amazon automatically cancelled any which were exact duplicates but then I had to go through and quickly cancel all the varying combinations that were duplicate items before they prepared them for shipping luckily! 21 cancelled orders in total… close call!

  • +1

Yeah, they just cancel chat when it gets too complicated, 'disconnect due to a technical issue'. What happens when you outsource and then eventually complain of a data hack…right…

But yeah one of my 4 order is on the way

  • +1

lmao you purchased this item 11 times showing…$800 on tool check plus possibly LMAO.

  • +1

Check order history now, all the duplicate orders just appeared in my cart and were seemingly about to be shipped

  • Just got email saying my order has been cancelled by Amazon UK.

    • Mine too. They cancelled my the surplus orders and just left one. A sensible result at last.

      • Same here. They cancelled all my orders though so I spoke to Amazon CS, they told me to place a new order and will honor the price and refund me the difference

  • Woke up to 2 orders ready for shipping & 6 cancellation emails

  • Yep had two orders about to be shipped but managed to cancel in time. Check your orders people!

    • +1

Yep everything seems to be in order now. 1 successful order, 4 cancelled lol . phew.

  • +1

My order on the 20/10 has now appeared in my order history and also received order confirmation email. All good.

  • after they cancelled my only order i managed to price match with online chat from the AU store with the difference in credit to my account. Delivery tomorrow.

  • Amazon is cooked,
I ordered a bunch of hand tools with this that never tracked. I placed the order at least 7-8 times.
This was on the 20th and the 21st.

Last night they charged the orders and they sent them this afternoon. I disputed the transaction and should get my 800$ back

  • good result in the end, but no longer feel like i want/need it. i got a whole bunch of other stuff like it after i couldn't get the order to work lol.

  • I had a long back and forth with Amazon rep after them sending about $400 of duplicates and about another 10 cancelled orders and saying it was my fault…they ended up giving me $40 promotional credit and said to return the duplicates on arrival.

    • so they actually gave you a refund and still sent you a whole mountain of tools? +$40 promo credit?
      you're laughin.

      • Amazon will bill your credit card/gift card balance if you don't return items within 30 days.

        • I was charged for the items, I will return the duplicates.

  • Did anyone manage to get this kit at $88.29??

I'm actually rather interested in the 'Tool Check' style bicycle kit. Not so much the tyre levers, but rather the 'Torx plus Allen' bits that come with the bicycle kit.

Plus I don't need 3x Phillips and 3x Pozidrive bits in this kit.

    • Mine should be arriving tomorrow.

Manage to get Live Chat to credit me the price difference with local stock, due to all the previous issues above (not showing, then all showing at once/cancelled).
