Meet the world’s smartest touchscreen keyboard for Android.

SwiftKey 3 understands how words work together, giving much more accurate corrections and predictions than other keyboards. Very sloppy typing will magically make sense, even if you miss spaces, and SwiftKey 3 also predicts your next words.

SwiftKey 3 learns the words and phrases you use, and how you interact with your keyboard as you use it, to make typing easier and even more accurate over time. You can also personalize it using your Gmail, Facebook, Twitter or blog posts.

SwiftKey is among Android's best selling apps for a reason — it transforms your keyboard, making typing a breeze and saving you hassle every day.

Good keyboard, I am enjoying the update, they discount it often though. I bought it for 99c, and it was 10c in December.

    • yea i bought them too, but is this better than the version we got?

edit: never mind, this is the same. you only need to pay another if using on tablet.

        • Nope, same program, you will get the update sigh

There is a new "tablet" version with spilt keyboard etc.

        • If you don't get the update like I didn't, go into Google Play from your phone, search for swiftkey and you will see a version of Swiftkey 3 that instead of free or a price says "update". :)

    • MD or OP, can you tell me if any of the key positions have changed on the secondary (numbers/symbols) page. Cheers.

I Downloaded the swiftkey beta APK when it was free on their VIP site,

Still have it, If anyone wants please message me with their email address and I will be happy to send you the Swiftkey 3.0 BETA.

AGAIN for the haters , this was not a pirate version, this is a legit beta version that I downloaded from their VIP site when the beta was open.

      • It may however be against their terms and conditions, I don't know, but that kind of stuff often is.

Yep just found it in Terms and Conditions Section 3 Prohibited Uses, or more specifically under 3.1.2.
Its states "…or otherwise transfer the Software to any third party or allow it (or the Documentation) to be accessed by or copied onto another person's computer."

Boring stuff but there you go, if they are prepared to download it from you they may as well get a torrented version.

        • Well it is slightly better than a torrented version because they themselves had it open for all to download,
I couldn't find the link that I downloaded from now, hence the offer to email.

I've never read T & C's and you may be right on that one. Eitherway the offer still stands, Also If its any consolation I have bought the paid version of Swiftkey2 in the past.

Sent to the first 2 who messaged me.

Sent to everyone who has asked so far.

  • Love the keyboard, makes touchscreen typing bearable.

  • I am missing the theme from the last version that had the green highlights! This blue is yucky, does anyone have a link to the old green theme?

  • I've been using this since the Swiftkey beta. The upgrade is free. Bit of confusion renaming the program it would seem (e.g. stumo).

Oh ok its the same app. I bought it thru amazon, actually I think it was free. I've always found this kbd a bit crap compared to Flex-T9 though. This one seems to think it knows best and inserts completely the wrong words all the time.

    • There's an option to turn down the predictions, whereby you have to click above to insert them allowing for more flexibility.

  • Thanks, just updated.

    Such a good keyboard.

Their privacy policy is pretty good, too. They don't ever store information for passwords and will not in any way shape or form sell your information/details to 3rd party reps.

They're a small team in England, I believe?

    IMO, best keyboard for Android.

    Roz

  • Purchased, just want to find a WP7 theme for it now and it'll be perfect.

  • What does this program have over Say TouchPal that is free?

    • Better prediction.

  • Quite a good keyboard especially for tablets but Thumb keyboard is better and gets my two thumbs up.

  • the beta version isn't as good as the final one. I've got it for the phone and testint the tabler version b4 buying it. Much better than the beta in the tablet

    • whats diff between beta and final for phone?

      • I've noticed they've fixed the currency long press, now shows 4 currencies instead of the default pound, and a couple other additions.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned this yet: http://www.xkcd.com/1068/

    • Haha that's gold.

    • Swiftkey3 doesn't seem to automatically type the first common words/sentence

it now defaults to "I am a beautiful persson"

      =( not nearly as entertaining

  • I've been trying the trial version for a few days. It's good with email and text, but the predications don't show up at all with a lot of apps (Samsung Galaxy S2)

    • Does it support swype typing?

      • No

    • If u have the Galaxy, then use swype… It is easily the best method for input I have ever come across (although the punch cards in the late 60s and early 70s were pretty cool)

  • positive for a good app

  • Already had swiftkey x but didn't realise there was a later version. Updated and absolutely perfect with the bigger space bar.

  • I have swiftkey x but it won't let me upgrade without paying for the new version. I think I got mine from the Amazon free app o' the day thingy. Guess I don't get the upgrade

Can't say I like it enough to pay for it

    • it won't let me upgrade without paying for the new version. I think I got mine from the Amazon free app o' the day

      same for me……..

  • Anyone who uses this keyboard has compared with TouchPal Keyboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cootek.sma…)?

  • I paid 10c for it.

  • Best keyboard ever! Had it since X.

  • Thanks OP. I bought it.
