Not as good as the previous deal for this board but it is back in stock. Relatively "cheap" option for an itx build. I particularly like the silent chipset fan profile.

Little tiny whiny fan, hence why I bought the b550i

    • is it only amd that has the small fans?
and are all of the boards have that noisy/whiny fans?

      • It just the X570 chipset boards, and honestly, it's not all that bad. I only hear mine on boot, after that it's inaudible among the rest of the PC noise. Possibility of the fan dying is worrying, but I haven't ever had a GPU fan go bad on me yet either, so it's probably fairly remote.

        • are the chipset on intel boards runs more cooler so it does not need a small fan?

not a fan of amd chipset needing a fan for their boards.
it is point of failure and also noise issues..

so that tiny fan is more quieter than the 120 or 140 mm fans?
from my own experience, small fans = greater noise possibility.

@pinkybrain: Newer AMD chipsets don't use fans either, including the newer X570S boards as well. It was just that specific one where AMD repurposed what's basically a part of their CPUs for chipset duties.

Yeah, that's true that it can get potentially loud and whinny, but again, I don't hear it apart from boot up. And I recall it being tested that they didn't actually need the active cooling anyway, not to mention the X570S ones are the same actual chipset as well.

        • Some B550 boards have fans too.

Same here, x570 aorus master mobo and only hear it at boot for a couple of seconds. They briefly run 100% to blow built up dust off.

        • My x570 doesnt have a junk fan

Little tiny whiny fan.. ewww… the B550's and B570s boards are the only options i would go for for AM4 in 2022

    • i have this board in a NR200, i've never heard the fan over the other fans in the system …

      • using the sicklyflows that come with the case?

        • you mean the heatsink that the fan sticks on top of? yes thats where the ssd is installed, i use a 240 aio and a crappy 3060 single fan so if anything is going to make a noise its the stupid GPU lol

    • +1

have the same mobo, the fan is never audible.

    • I've never heard the fan run on my x570 board.

      • Me either. Spins up on boot and then turns off. Has never even switched on other than that.

A bit over priced for an outdated motherboard. Under $200 would be better.

I wouldn't call it a good deal but this is probably one of the last chances to get this sort of board if you are keen on AM4 m-itx. Outside of cheaper asrock boards, local stock has largely dried up.

better just to wait for am5 or intel.

this ITX is close to $300 so expensive
and Gigabyte boards are not that reliable (from personal experience) ie quality control issues or it dies earlier than some other brands

  • +1

Until the lower end am5 chips drop, it still does make sense to go am4 for itx. Hate this price though, these have been much less before.

    • +2

approx $300 is not good price for ITX
rather just wait or get intel

      • It’s been around $300 for half a year

  • Good board, have had for a year or so… thoroughly recommend.
    Well designed and good performance

unless you need 2 m2 gen 4.0 on your system, b550i is still the better choice. no front header for usb c is also worth to consider if you would like to purchase this board.

    • +1

      This.

I have this in a meshilicious case and was quite disappointed when I realised it didn't gave usb-c headers.

It was my fault for not checking of course but you'd think a premium board like this would've had it.

  • have the same board, in a nr200, the only downside is too few USB port at the back. also no front panel USB c port.
    solid mobo other wise.

AsRock X570I TB3 is a better motherboard, thunderbolt 3 is good for an ITX build.

  • Got this board but for whoever that is thinking of itx on the cheap, check out gigabyte z670 ultra lite ddr4. That board is around 250aud due to a missing pcie gen 5 slot. The slot is only pcie 3 x 16. But you still get the gen 4 pcie m.2 drive

Pair that with the Intel 13th gen and you should be good for a while.
