I have a $5 PAYG going to expire soon. How can I use this to extend 365 days?
I just want to keep the phone number.
    Thank you.

The cheapest way is to buy a boost sim with Cashrewards. Earn the $1-2 profit there (after cashback) then stay with boost for 7 months, after which you can transfer back to aldi mobile, and number should stay active from transfer date to another 1.5 years at least

      • Can you show me the link and how to do it?
        Thank you

they have this sorta deal on every month or so.

If not then just get a $1 sim from kogan for 30 days +90 days extra validity, then port again to aldi

          • @USER DC: Do you have problem of porting Aldi to Boost and then back, as both of them use Telstra network?
I don't want to lose the phone number during porting.
            Thank you

i think you'd have to recharge $15 to keep your number for another year.

    • As far as I know you don’t lose your phone number for another 12 months(?) after your credit expire. You can’t send any texts or make calls but will still be able to receive calls and texts.

      • Your service expired less than 90 days

You can still receive calls and SMS but can't make calls or send SMS. You can add PAYG, or a plan during this time to reactivate your base plan and service for a further 365 days.

Service expired 90 days and less than 120 days

You can't make or receive calls and SMS at this stage, but you can still add PAYG or a plan to reactivate your base plan and service.

Service expired between 120 days and less than 180 days

You still can't make or receive calls and SMS and if you want to continue to use ALDImobile, you will need to purchase a new SIM card and take the following action, depending on what you'd like to do.
If you want to obtain a new number, you can activate the SIM and request a new number online.
If you want to retain the existing, expired number, call us once you have purchased the SIM card and we'll take care of the reactivation for you. Do not activate the SIM card online.

If your service expired 180 or more days

Due to the lengthy period of time the service has been inactive, the number will have been returned to the original 'owning' Telco and we will not be able to recover it.

        • Thanks mate. Can i just recharge another $10 within 90 days and get free incoming for a further year?

I just added $10 credit and have kept the number for another 12 months

      • How to add $10 credit? Is the minimum recharge $15?
        Thanks.

        • Not sure, but when I recharged I just logged in and it had $10, $15, $25, etc, I just selected $10 and recharged

This is not $10 PAYG credit recharge

This is a $10 mobile plan "recharge" which can be bought using remaining PAYG credit , OR charged to pay

      • Does the '$10 Special Deal Mobile Plan' automatically extend the PAYG for another 12 months?

        • yes

          • @dcep: Do I buy a $10 recharge voucher at Aldi to get this?

            • @[Deactivated]: Not sure, I did it through my login

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: login to your aldimobile account

Recharge > Mobile Plan > $10 Mobile Plan > Slide use PAYG credit to pay > Confirm

        • Yes

  • I think the minimum recharge is $15, I can't see there's a $10 recharge option.

    • This is a $10 mobile plan "recharge" which can be bought using remaining PAYG credit , OR charged to pay

  • Thanks OP, perfect for my kids.

    Will Gerry H pricematch this?

  • Can i use this to get a new number and keep it for 1 year with free incoming? We don’t need to make calls.

I had some PAYG credit and bought the $10 Plan but it did NOT extend the PAYG Expiry date
The $10 Plan correctly shows expiry in 14 days but the PAYG Expiry date did NOT change
