I used these at a charity car wash. Pumped out quicker thanks handwashing.

    • +14

You didn't use it on the paint…right???

      • +11

        please say yes

        • +18

          Yes

      • +35

It's excellent for achieving that matte finish work that you see on modern cars these days

      • +2

Well yeah that's where it gets dirty

    • +8

I use these to clean phone and tablet screens for charity.

      • Should be fine.

Nothing there will even approach the hardness of glass.

Ive used scotch brite pads often on my phone, when Ive had resin drip on it.

Bought this similar set years ago to clean the shower, etc. Thought it would be some piece of crap but it's actually really great for scrubbing anything awkward to get to with your hands.

      hilarious video

I was hoping at 2:58 he would turn the drill on

    • +4

      Great vid.

Proof positive that people start to look like their pets….

    • +1

Wet thorough expert advise from a trusted source, thanks

    • +3

      Holy crap. Weird Al Yankovich.

    • Dude filmed it in his Mums house. Too funny.

    • I keep a Makita and a Drill-Brush next to the toilet. So suprised I didn't see that in the video…. but then maybe his Mum scrubbs the toilets and it's not one of his chores?

  • +3

I use the rounded one to clean out the wheels/rims of my car, with just a hose. Works a treat.
Tried using the others to clean the BBQ - worked OK, but it flings stuff everywhere

    • flings stuff everywhere

      She doesn't like that

    • -1

      Removes paint from your wheels.

    • Low rpm.

  • Stupid question, can we use it to sand decking? Thanks

    • +1

You could try but I don't think it'd work very well.

    • +3

The kit I got years ago came with a velcro-backed sanding pad you can use any 125mm sanding disc on, as an orbital sander. Looks like this one does too, the black thing bottom middle. Being non-random it'll put sanding marks all in one direction, but you can reverse the direction of the drill or use very fine grits to get rid of that effect if you spend more time on the project. The foam pads you see at the top can be used to apply and spread out varnish if the oil is viscous enough, but the thicker stuff will pick up a bit of an imprint from it.

    • +3

Not very well, better off getting a random orbital sander or the jiggly rectangular sander and use the right grit (otherwise it will take you years to do it).

You want the random part so it doesn't leave swirl marks.

    • +1

I wouldn't. Either: Buy a proper sander, or hire a deck sander. Otherwise you're going to get marks on your deck.

    • Not unless you can attach sanding discs to the scrubber pad, then it might be ok for touching up small sections of pine decking. But for any type of hardwood forget about it. Random orbitals and finishing sanders (the ones that vibrate) are also pretty hopeless on hardwoods (merbau, tallowwood etc), you will be there for days. A belt sander is your friend. Start with 40-80 grit then finish with 120. Sand along the grain so you don't leave scratches.

  • +1

Would this work with non-Ozito drills? Like a Ryobi or Bosch?

    • Any drills

    • +9

Yes lol. Its just a hex bit.

  • does this work on Ryobi drill ?

  • good to polish shoes use the softest head and go light

    • +2

Now go home and get your ****ing Ozito 16 Piece Drill Brush Set

  • Total noob here, but would any of these brushes work to help remove surface rust from undercarriage of a car, or should I be looking for something else?

    • +4

Might need a wire brush to remove rust. They come in a similar style and you can attach it to a drill the same way as this.

    • +2

If it's not much rust, use a rust converter. You could try use this but with rust you really need to get rid of all of it all the chemical process of creating rust will just continue, I'm not sure these kind of brushes would be enough to dislodge it all.

Also going to fling rust particles everywhere, so wear a mask if you try it.

    • Dry ice blasting, media blasting etc.

    • Laser rust removal or Dry Ice blasting

    • Search Bunnings for "flap disc." The most common one goes in an angle grinder. I've also seen them to fit drills, but less often.

  • Ozito, my fav brand.. for years.. Grabbed one

  • This deal has crashed the site!

    • Is Bam any better than any other products, incl. Jif and similar abrasives?

  • these work great - I use them to clean the bathroom tiles and bath tub :)

  • Does anyone know if the white one is a buffing pad? I want to see how it goes buffing some DVDs

    • Yes and you can microwave your iPhone to charge it

  • +4

Rofl. Bunnings has started dropshipping? :p

This crap is all over ebay. It costs an extra $5ish to buy from bunnings and all you get is those 3 white pads and one extra medium bristle brush

    • +4
    • +2

Prices have gone up since i purchased but it's still the same price on ebay without needing a sale. And if you have $5 monthly ebay plus coupon it's much cheaper on ebay ($5 cheaper i you don't need the white pads.. Otherwise maybe $1 cheaper for a 22 piece set but also free delivery)

    • any links for ebay?

      • +9

I hate when people ask me to wade through ebays garbage multiple price format on a generic product.. It disinclines me to warn others in the first place

This will do. I'm not going any deeper than this.

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/194921579997 22 piece

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/294261087994 14 piece

        • +1

Then why do it at all?

        • +5

You hate when people reply to your comments?

I get it, I hate when people leave a "there are better deals" without a particular example - like you did.

        • +3

100% agree, 1000 generic aliexpress iterations on eBay. Sadly ppl only want answers here and hava no idea how to search for themselves.

          • +2

            @Nalar: Bingo.

            • +1

@justtoreply: Definitely better deals if you search through the bargain bin in north Guadongxiuiphoneslavesdongui

Awesome post op. I like your attention to detail in the description.

This post should be a template for all future bunnings posts.

Thinking of buying these to use on my convertible soft top as a means to agitate the dirt easier before washing. Thoughts?

    • Sound dangerous. I’d hate the possible damage

      • For context I am using a horse hair brush at the moment to agitate

    • White scotch brite pad with APC is what the pro’s use

  • +3

This is RRP. I just went to Bunnys and saw a pile of them with the $19.95 everyday sticker in tool shop

    • +1

Yep, it wasnt a specials ticket and I asked the bunnings rep, he said its normal price, might be the 'new' regular cheaper price.

  • These look like the cheaper way to go (if you own a drill) than say the Ryobi Power Scrubber Any reason that they would be better? Other than a water resistant housing and costing more)

    • +1

I just bought the Ryobi power scubber recently, and it is actually very slow and only has 1 speed, compared to a power drill.
