I have been waiting for this camera to go down again, and finally, after cash back it’s almost to historical low. Price might still dip a bit further with Black Friday but I’ve pulled the trigger as will be travelling soon.

        What's teh video autofocus like? I know there's been huge improvements but want to know if this will hold focus well on faces

          @aNoPHeLeS: I use this as my primary camera for wedding video work. I track the subject face, especially when walking down the aisle. It works great.

          It's still an excellent camera and at this price its such a good value.

      Yeah agree. A7IV is better if you shoot video but otherwise the A7III is arguably just as good.

  I am in the same boat, traveling soon, which makes black friday wait irrelevant. good deal

  also price matched and got 24-105/4 G for $1203 (price match at Sony from Digital Camera Warehouse). it gives $150 cashback from sony and additional 7% from cashrewards, plus traveling will give you back more. superb lens

  I’d avoid this as there is a large amount of people reporting shutter failures to the point that there is a class action going on against Sony
