Although Sony A7R Mark V is just around the corner, but this Sony A7R Mark IV (ILCE7RM4A) at $3,369.10 after cash back of $500 is probably the lowest I have seen this camera body at.

61 megapixels. You need a good PC to edit the raw in lightroom.
Not comparable, 4K HLG, more DR, more resolution, better EVF etc. a lot more expensive.
Get a used 7R4 (non A) and save a bunch of cash, the A adds nothing, Sony had to change suppliers and so this model is a modification of the original 7R4 and by law they had to amend the model number to reflect this. There's no improvement, just a couple of insignificant differences.
As I said, save a bunch and get the non A version, lightly used is my recommendation.

…with the most noticeable difference being the higher resolution of the LCD screen (2.36M vs 1.44M dots on the original model)
Yeah, not a big deal for me at all. Both screens are low resolution, low contrast and wash out in the sun which is why the serious guys use an external monitor with a shade.
What’s a 7R4 (non A)? Are you thinking about the A7 MK4 and comparing it to this A7R MK4?
If so there’s a huge difference for landscape and portrait photographers.

The lowest I seen it was $3122 after cashback last year.
What are the key improvements compare to a A7ii (yes, two) that I currently use, especially the battery life? Pricing is looking more reachable now.
