Yes, you can redeem them on both stores (Apple Store & Apple Education Store).

Keep in mind that you can only redeem 8 Apple gift cards in one online transaction, but there are ways around this limit:

  1. The 10% calculation assumes you opt to redeem your Everyday Rewards points for Everyday Rewards Dollars (either through Money Off Shopping or Bank For Christmas). - Credits to WookieMonster

      • Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately I paid in three transactions and only remembered the terms and conditions afterwards. So you’re saying in the past you got the points even though it was across multiple transactions?

        • Yes, but I got them straight away. If they have to add the points manually, someone will be checking and might not approve the 2nd and 3rd transaction.

      • Normal employees can approve $500. Anything more needs approval from manager.

I got one for $500 and decided not to buy a second in different transaction as I remembered the "1 transaction" per day limit in the T&C.

    • +1

I did 2 transactions back in September without realising it was 1 per transaction however back then I could see I was getting all my points.

  • Went to wwls and got 2x$500 just now. Told can't use GC to buy GC (tried using coles GC). Did not see the boost in app. The normal points for the purchase is showing up immediately. Now waiting for the bonus to show up…

    • You got points immediately for the giftcard? My receipt is showing 0 points

      • Likewise I got the manager of woolies to approve 4 x 500GC ( Single transaction / invoice) and was told it could take upto 14 Days for the points to reflect . So the waiting game begins .

Woolies will have to honor as it's published in their catelogue and the app as well .

  • I just went to Woolworths. Boosted hours ago.
I bought $50 in groceries and $1000 in gift cards, hoping to double dip on the 5x booster.
Got 250 points instantly, and none so far for the gift cards.

Edit: also got 2 tableware credits.

    • There is no double dipping

  • Can apple giftcards be used to pay for repairs? I have a smashed phone that is $$ for repair, wondering if I can use gift cards to pay at the Apple Store?

    • +1

Yes you can. I paid for in store Genuis Bar iPhone repair with my Apple gift cards no problems. iPhone got run over by a bobcat. The gift cards are treated like any other method of payment (ie. cash, credit card etc)

  • Be aware that you only purchase 5 gift cards, I purchased 10 and the cashier put it through as 2 transactions and I basically missed out on 100 dollars worth of points, the other transaction still went through.

    • Spent 2 hours on the phone with them today, person was kind enough to give back 10000 points which is 50 dollars even though I broke t&c but it was cashiers fault, or the store management

    • Bought 10x $100 gift cards in one transaction with no problems. And the points / rewards dollars were added instantly (on register screen and in the app). For reference I used the self serve check out registers. I was going to say to call them and explain what the staff member did so thats good you got the points credited. I think some staff are clueless. The terms & conditions say the limit is 10 (not 5).

  • Just got $1700 (3 x $500 and 1 x $200). It showed I got 4000 points only… I'm so confused. Should I get the remaining balance within 2 weeks? My Woolies showed me the balance right away and showed up on the app right away.

    • -1

Maximum you can get from this offer is 4000 points I believe

      • Where does it say that? It's not in the T&C in the catalogue

  • I can not see the boost option in my rewards account. Please let me know what to do??

    • I don't see it in my app either (I've never used the app tho - I just installed it and logged in now and looked in Boosters - I have a bunch of other Boosters in there which I activated but nothing for this Apple Gift Card promotion)

      • +1

Same here… Anyone else here facing the same issue or any workaround?

    • You dnt need to boost it. The offer is for everyone just make sure you scan your rewards card when you’re purchasing the apple giftcard.

Limit of 10 cards per transaction and one transaction per day per Everyday Rewards Member.

  • $2,000 transaction showing as +0pts on my account.

  • Did anyone noticed that at the t&c it says

"You may not collect points if collecting those points would cause you to exceed 4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars as set in those Terms and Conditions."?

    • $4000 everyday rewards dollars is a hella lot of dollars

      • $4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars is 4,000 points or actually points that translate to $4,000? Because 4,000 points is only $20.

        A single $500 purchase x 20 points = 10,000 points.or $50

    • +1

You can (probably) thank a particular OzBargainer for that specific clause.

Everyday Rewards used to set their limit for Everyday Rewards Dollars on an Everyday Rewards account at $4,500. However, if the points you earned from a transaction would exceed that $4,500 limit, the checkout would automatically redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars from your account in order to bring your account back under the limit. That applied even for purchases of gift cards that were earning Everyday Rewards points, as that particular OzBargainer found out, which meant they found a way to use Everyday Rewards Dollars to pay for gift cards (even though that was - and still is - very much against the Everyday Rewards terms and conditions).

Nowadays, Everyday Rewards will do one of three things if your account hits the (now) $4,000 limit and a transaction will push your account limit over $4,000:

      • It will force you to redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars.

      • It will stop automatically converting Everyday Rewards points into Everyday Rewards Dollars, but you will still earn points from a transaction.

      • It will not credit any points for the transaction at all.

      • Sorry if I sound clueless, because I am, as I don't normally need to worry about the limits.

so 4,000 Everyday Reward dollars would requires converting 400,000 points right?

If that is the case, I don't think I have every reach the limit.

Thanks for taking the time to explain.

        • +6

          800,000 points.

  • Hi Guys,
I purchased 10 x gift card today in 3 x transactions. 1st transaction, only 1 x gc, and got bonus points straight away. 2nd and 3rd transaction did not show any bonus points after purchase, login into everyday rewards account both transaction are showing 0 points earned. Just wondering if this is normal?
Understand it stated bonus points can take up to 14 days, but i have purchased these gc during the same promotion a few time and always received bonus points straight after check out.

    • +2

Sounds like you breached the Maximum 1 transaction per day rule. You may need to contact Everyday Rewards and plead your case to get all your points. Say that the checkout operator split up the transaction without your knowledge.

    • Only 1 Transaction per day - it’s in the terms and conditions

    • +2

You’re lucky you got the points for the first transaction.

Most of us have zero bonus points so far.

      • I got my points instantly, as did other family who purchased them. For reference I used the self service check out register, I boosted the offer 24 hours beforehand and my points / rewards dollars are Banked for Christmas.

  • This time last year there were 30x Bonus Points deals around. Is it worth holding out for the 30x or are they never to be seen again??

    • The worlds changed in 12 months - who knows what might happen going forward but often it’s a case of if you snooze you lose

    • +4

My theory is the 30x points offer was a one time introductory offer when the Apple Gift Cards first launched. It has never happened again and I don't expect it to be offered again.

    • Thanks for replies. Decided not to wait and bought them at this deal.

  • Is there a $1000 daily limit for purchasing the Apple Gift Cards? Need to buy $1500 total, so do I buy all $1500 in one transaction or $1000 one day and $500 the next?

    • I bought $2100 worth ($100 + 4x$500) in one transaction without any issues.

      • Did you get the bonus points immediately? I’m yet to hear of anyone on this thread getting the points right away

        • +1

One or two people in this thread or the whirlpool thread have gotten the bonus points but they’re the outliers I reckon.

I think we’ll all end up having to chase these points up on the Facebook page.

        • No, it's still showing +0 pts.

    • $1000 is the maximum amount regular Woolies employees can process in one transaction. A manager is required to process higher amounts. If you aren't able to purchase all that you require in the one transaction, go back the next day and buy more.

    • Update for reference: Bought 10x $100 gift cards in one transaction, and bought 4x $100 in another transaction but had a family member scan their everyday rewards. For both transactions the points / dollars were applied instantly (on the register screen and in my app & the family members app).

  • +4

I don't understand why they'd go from a system of transperency where bonus points would show and be printed on the receipt to the system they have now. What are they trying to hide?

    • My points / rewards dollars were added instantly for this promotion. A message appeared on the register screen right after I scanned my EDR card (I took a photo for ref) and they were in the EDR App also (I checked as I was leaving the store). There was no mention of the points / rewards dollars on the receipt but it did show my EDR card had been added. For reference I used the self serve check out register and my rewards dollars are Banked for Christmas.

      • Yes fortunately my receipt shows my EDR number so that’s proof I did scan my card. It’s annoying the points weren’t credited instantly but I know they will eventually be credited one way or the other.

  • +1

Spoke to them on the phone and they basically said yeah nah gotta wait 14 business days (til 22 Nov) before they’ll manually add points. They said typically it’s a couple of days later but it’s definitely different to what I’m used to, which is basically instantaneous

  • +1

Well mine from yesterday has not appeared, but when I went to the same store/checkout today and bought $400 worth, the $40 appeared on the checkout screen and app immediately!
Yesterday I had not boosted and bought $800 worth
Today I had boosted last night and bought $400.

Aside: I had also bought Uber cards at $500 on Tuesday (2 days ago) and they still have not appeared.

I wonder if its less than some amount ($400?) that it appears immediately?

    • Someone on whirlpool just posted they bought $200 yesterday and no points.

$50 today and got points instantly.

Maybe all purchases yesterday didn’t register or count???

      • +1

I think you might be right. I bought another lot today and the points showed immediately on both the register and my Rewards app. The only difference is today I went through self-checkout, yesterday I went through regular staffed checkout… but I'm guessing something else changed in the background if others are starting to see their points today too.

        • +2

Then that sucks for those of us who bought these yesterday :/

Might drop by and buy another $500 today to see if the points show up before paying

          • +1

@zzzman: I bought again today at a service desk and they haven't shown up

            • +2

@LorneMalvo: The plot thickens. In any case, whatever changes they made is confusing AF.

I tried to buy $500 after work today at a self checkout, went through to payment screen but no bonus points shown. Westpac decided to block my card after Apple Pay didn’t go through.

Guess that means I’m not supposed to buy another one lol

        • +2

I paid at the service desk yesterday and seem to only get points for my $200 card (4000 points) and didn't get anything for the remaining $1500 in cards. All in the same transaction.

          • @bluebear_74: I bought a $200 and a $50 card in the one transaction (they were gifts) and got the points immediately (I had boosted on the app the previous day). My wife also bought multiple cards and got the points immediately (she had also boosted).

            • @cryptowiz: @cryptowiz Were they the set amount cards? It's been suggested that those who are getting points right away are for the set amount cards and the not variable one ($20-$500), which is my experience. (I also boosted in the app).

              • @bluebear_74: Mine were set amount. I guess it's possible the issue people are experiencing is related to the variable value cards.

      • I went a couple of hours ago. Bought $2k worth of cards. Bonus points have not came through. Maybe woolies set a limit for certain amount purchases will come through immediately and anything above the threshold won’t. Urgh have to wait 14 days 🥲

        • Further to my post above… went to buy $100 x 5… got nothing. Sigh.

      • I purchased using the self serve check out registers and my points / rewards dollars were added instantly.

  • +1

Woolies owes me 60k worth of point. ($3k worth of gift cards)

  • I dont have the boost offer in Rewards app. Anyone in the same situation?

    • +3

I'm not sure if they updated the booster T&C but I’ve just checked and part of the T&C says you don’t need to boost it to receive the bonus points.

The promotional period for in-store transactions is based on the local time of the store you shop at in-store. Refer to individual cards for their terms and conditions. Limit of 10 cards per transaction and one transaction per day per Everyday Rewards Member.

      • It explains it already. No standard bonus point means +0.

Bonus points => wait up to 14 days

        • what confuse me is some of us have the boost offer, some dont

          • @legelas: I personally boosted 24 hours before buying the cards (just to be safe) and the points / rewards dollars were added instantly.

  • +6

Bought 5x $500 cards ($2,500) and yet to receive the points.

After reading around in different forums, I noticed that the people that are getting the points instantly purchased the gift cards with fixed amounts (i.e. $100). Those who purchased the variable one ($20-$500) are still waiting for the points.

    • +2

      I purchased fixed 4 x 200 yesterday and didn’t get it. Fixed 4 x 100 today and got points instantly so don’t it’s a variable thing?

    • +1

Can confirm this is the case.

      Purchased 4 x $500 and 1 x $100. Only points from the $100 is received.

      • So only fixed $100 cards are getting the points instantly it seems?

        • I will try this later today and see how that goes.I was thinking that may be the common denominator too

        • Nope. Yesterday I bought a $200 and a $50 card in the one transaction and received 5,000 pts immediately (I'd boosted in the app the day before).

        • Just tried 5 x $100, got nothing….

    • I purchased 10x $100 and the points / rewards dollars added instantly. Family member purchased 4x $100 and the points added instantly (cards for me but gave the bonus points to family member). Another family member (in a different town) bought 1x $20 & 1x $50 and their points were added instantly. For reference I used the self serve check out register and our points are Banked for Christmas. I also boosted the offer 24 hours beforehand.

  • The best way I've found to receive all the points and not exceed the '1 transaction per day policy' is purchase $1000 per day (Daily authorised limit).
Anytime I've split the transaction up say for example x2 $1000's a day there was never an exception to receive the second transactions points… As it should be & lesson learnt the first time.

Don't know how $2000 in one transaction authorised will go, but it seems like you will need to chase up every transaction later down the track.

    • purchase $1000 per day (Daily authorised limit)

Is this a thing? I purchased $1500 worth in one transaction yesterday no problems.

    • Based on the T&C, up to 10 cards and 1 transaction per day. It means we can purchase up to $5k as long as it is in one transaction.

    • This trick might not be true as the points of my single 500 purchase is still in the air.

    • No idea if it still works but I was able to bypass the one transaction per day limit on a gift card deal a couple of weeks ago by making one purchase at a regular Woolworths and the other at a Woolworths Metro.

  • I purchased again 3*200+100 got $70 notification even before paying for cards. Yesterday bought one $500 but never received the points

  • Purchased 1 x $100 card on Wednesday and got nothing…so it seems there is no method to what works and what doesnt. Just luck 🤔

    • What a shamble.

The time we spend checking to see who and how to get the bonus points instantly, and possible follow up via Facebook chat in 2 weeks are probably not worth the 10% off?

      • I had to sort out an issue with missing points yesterday. Used to be able to do it online or via the app. They have scrapped that currently so the only means is via phone. I was in the cue for 36 minutes before getting through…
The whole rewards system currently is a shamble…and lets not even get started on the rewards dollars being hacked.

        • You can do it via a bot but only up to 500 dollars or points, I can’t really tell

    • I bought multiple $100 cards and got the points instantly. Family also bought other denomination cards and got points instantly. For reference I used the self serve check out register, I boosted the offer 24 hours beforehand and my points are Banked for Christmas. Strange how it works for some and not for others.

  • Does anyone have any experience with using apple gift cards to purchase iPhone and then make a salary sacrifice? I just got off the phone with Maxxia; they need a tax invoice and proof that I have paid for the device (e.g. bank statement). Making it impossible to combine the saving of apple gift cards and salary sacrifice.

    • FYI just called them again. A tax invoice should be enough as long as it clearly states PAID somewhere and doesn't state the payment method as gift cards. Otherwise, I will have to prove that I purchased those gift cards, which will be a pain as I purchased them using Coles Mastercard…

      • Coles Mastercard is just a debit card anyway. FYI I checked my invoice from last year and it doesn’t mention payment method

  • Just bought 4x$500 and 3x$200 Apple GCs. Only got 12k worth of reward points for the 3x$200 GCs. Will have to follow this up in 14 days.

  • -2

    Hi All,

I seem to notice the terms and conditions which mention that "You may not collect points if collecting those points would cause you to exceed 4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars as set out in those Terms and Conditions."

1 dollar of Rewards Point is $1.00 and with 20X points does this mean that we can purchase only a maximum total of $200 worth of the gift card throughout the entire campaign - assuming that this promotion runs on accumulated total.

    • +5

That's $4,000 ER dollars, not points.
      It was discussed earlier.

  • +1

Bought 2 x $200 and 1 x $100 just now. Got points instantly / $50 reward dollars in account. Showed up in payment screen BEFORE paying.

    • Maybe I was too late but in my app it says 0 point now

  • I want to buy $4200 worth gift cards, is it possible to buy in one transaction?

    • If the store manager is on site - possibly. Standard woolies checkout staff can only do max $1000.

      • I bought $2000 tonight without asking the store manager to help though

  • -7

If you look carefully only those who bought $200 worth gift cards got the points that was in Woolies catalogs too . I don’t think $500 gift card will get you any point at all.
For me I might have to buy 21x$200 cards. I am not sure if it’s even possible to buy these many in one transaction to get the points
