  • Perhaps you mean $324 each?

I know it's cheap, but those are pretty terrible specs. That old celeron and GMA graphics are going nowhere fast

    Has HDMI at least

    • Intel is still using "Celeron" as a brand name for new CPUs in it's "budget" ranges.

The B815 is actually quite new and, for example, faster than a Intel Core2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40GHz (scores a 1510 passmark, see CPUbenchmark.net ).

The listed intel chipset specs don't say much about the graphics capabilities (HM76 might even be a mistake, specs lists motherboard chipset stuff like usb 3 support and fast sata support etc) so don't buy this laptop for games.

But still, that CPU is excellent for this price range.

  • No deal.

so basically you get two of these for $649?

    $325 apiece?

ok i guess if you guys can sorta out a buy between two people here

    very ordinary cpu though

    • Other CPUs in this price range are netbook stuff - slower atom etc. B815 is great for the price.

  • ppl still buying 'celeries' laptops ? i guess for the budget, tech savvy ignorant ppl its ok, even so i would spend abit more for a low-end i3.

good buy if you want to gift someone.

    • +3

      of course they do.
My parents are one of those 'i only use a computer for the internet' sorta people. so a 1.6ghz is fine.
i'm surprised it has HDMI though.

      • i think the chassis is very good

        ie. gigabit ethernet, usb3

        i wonder what the 11n is? 2x2?

everything sounds good… sad cpu though

        • i think it is 1x1 Wifi N

  • +2

This seems pretty awful, considering I got an i3 with far superior specs half a year ago, for $380 (Lenovo).

    More consumer electronic crap.

  • +1

is it buy the first for 699 (-50 cashback)
    then get second free?

cuz people are looking at this differently.

    $649/2 = $324.5 each
    Thats alright isnt it?

Next cheapest ATM for 15", is a compaq @ JB.
    $356.80+ http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/comapq-hp-offer/

    • +1

it says BUY 1 GET 1 FREE so total cost you pay $699. And you get cash back $50. That's mean you're right.
