Really should have considered spending the extra $100 on the 11" Pro (Refurb)

Mini has higher end specs except the 120Hz display. And some people like the smaller foot print….

      • +3

And the M1 chip. It's not higher end.

        • +1

The refurb is the A12Z (at least it was, seems out of stock now). The M1 isn’t on the refurb store yet.

          • @loksmack: Depends on which Pro you're talking. I got an M1 11" 128GB cellular refurb (not from Apple) for $896.

          • @loksmack: That looks too good to the point of looking sketch. Not a fantastic seller rep at 97.6%…

            • @Dubious speculation: It'll be with me on Monday so I'll update you. If not - free returns and money back guarantee. 97.6% feedback is quite good and the seller is part of eBay's "verified" refurbished list, hence the discount code. The normal price they have before the discount is higher than as new 256GB M1 Pros elsewhere.

@Dubious speculation: I got it - the seller is part of Phonebot which is reputable, and they have responsive customer service. It's in great condition and working flawlessly. Really good deal!

Depends on use case. The Air or the 11 inch pro are pretty interchangeable and I doubt you could see the performAnce diff on the M2 in the pro. The ipadOS is a bottleneck.

But other people prefer the the size of the mini. Perfect size for reading. A fantastic POS device for example, especially restaurants.

  • Great find, if you dont like purple you can always get a skin from Dbrand https://dbrand.com/

  • Rumour is that new mini next year?

    • Yep odds are this is coming to an end of its life cycle. However, I think for the market the mini is catered for - I can't see overall greater improvements for the end user in comparison if it was a Pro upgrade.

  • I have ordered two ipads from Amazon this week,my sister in law ordered one too…hers came, mine haven't. They can't tell me why.Just FYI

Price match with OW or JB

  • Love the form factor of mini but will wait for next gen

    • +1

      Same here

    • It is nice to have the bigger screen
but it looks worse than the mini 5's screen and the battery lasts a lot less since the mini 4 .
I'd agree about waiting for the next iteration if it's close ,
and try to find some honest reviews before buying ,
just beware they have been slowly downgrading the quality of parts while raising the price to a premium level.
Not the worth retail price unless you're selling your old one and buying at a significant discount .

can't recommend an iPad with 64gb storage. You'll have to manage your apps every time you use it.

    • depends..

if someone only mainly use it for youtube, web browsing and social media
then they won't need much storage.

  • It's a beautiful gadget to have.

  • I want to buy the 256gb version, but no special deal at the moment. Maybe have to wait till Black Friday.

  • Still has jelly scroll.

    • I dont see them

    • It's a feature as per apple, hence they increased price after customers found it. Plz don't find anymore issues

  • When did the mini start costing that much? I must be really out of the loop. I remember when they were $300 about 10 years ago.

    • Mate, it's been a rough decade…. May changes happened

      Trump was president
      Scomo was PM
      we got infected with covid
      Working from home

If possible plz go back to hibernation

  • Now showing $719 (Wifi 64gb purple) so maybe was price error or short lived deal.

    • Marked as OS
