Blaupunkt 75" 4K Ultra HD Android TV (2022) $695 (Was $795) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

150

Noted in email just now - Not as good as $636 earlier this year, but a decent price drop from the now standard 795.

In b4 how does this compare to the 77" A80J

    • Yeh or nah?

      • The TV is pretty nasty I'd pass but it's the cheapest 75 inch you pay for what you get

It would be really annoying if you didn't get what you paid for.

          Did it call you names?

      BLAUPUNKT=Bluepoint, German company.
      I mistakenly thought it's from India…

Your are not that wrong. It WAS a German company with a long history (belonged once to Bosch) and was mainly known for their car audio systems (but also made other electronics such as TVs). Went bankrupt a few years ago and the name is just licensed - nothing gets made in Germany anymore. So it could be made in India - but I guess mostly made in China.

Their downfall was the more and more integrated car audio systems which we have now - hardly anyone buys a 3rd party car radio.

When you want a TV Made in Germany - here you go: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/734749 (Still chinese but factory is in Germany).

Their TVs were particularly high end and well reviewed back in the 90s. Nowadays I wouldn't even have it as a bedroom tv.

What's wrong with India mate, Most medicines that you swallow are manufactured in India these days, Most Miss Worlds & Miss Universes are won by Indians and Top 20 CEOs in USA are of Indian Origin & Now you have the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of Indian origin

Nah the name means nothing just a cheap Chinese built budget TV but if thats what you want its a good deal

  • Its a good second \ covered outdoor area tv. Apps are laggy but I use it with a shield to upscale 1080p kayo and its decent for the price. If u have reasonable expectation and use it as not main tv its a well priced for the size

And then proceeds not to bother answering the question!!

  • Guys, that’s not a German brand at all. It has it roots in Germany, but belongs now several years to China, like a lot of other German brands as well. Formerly, BLAUPUNKT was very well-known for quality. Nowadays it’s cheapest China production. You’ll get what you pay for.

    • Its the same people that do the EKO tvs (BigW mostly) and some of the Bauhn ones (Aldi).

  • How does this compare to Aldi Bauhn 75 inch tv? Looking for a budget tv at the grandparents house

    • They probably have the same guts as this inside .

      • Might even be the same exact thing. Ayonz are the company behind these and have done some of the Bauhn TVs in the past.

After got Amazon fire stick 4k, never used build-in TV OS anymore, so this model is a good choice. .
