Seems like they're dicounting these to make way for the new Kobo Clara. They're still pricey overall but is sturdy and protects the Kobo from scratches and bumps. Won't fit the new Clara.

Didnt bother to get a case and havemt actually scratched mine yet in two years
I bought a couple for my wife's Clara HD more than a year ago from eBay for about $7 each and the first one is still perfect. Red & blue coloured (1 each) and it does the "sleep" thing as well. I wouldn't pay even $29 for one.
Been this price for a while (not a sale anymore)
Ive got this one - feels nice but I guess its a little more cumbersome to open than the book-style opening cases
