…great for holding 16 litres of apple juice and a packet of yeast for 2 weeks!
….and some sugar, and boiled tea to add tannins.
If you're real fancy, swap a litre or two of the apple juice with grape juice, and use Lalvin EC-1118 yeast for a nicer flavour.

How times change. Supermarket bakeries would get their premade ingredients in these buckets and we would toss the empties into the garbage every night. Now we pay for them.
