      just before i go google - is double sided good or bad?
      edit: google seems to suggest doublesided allows for bigger storage (naturally) but is more limited by heat? so single sided is better for high use applications??

        Some laptops only have space to fit single sided SSDs which are thinner than double sided. Not major for desktop.

  Not a great deal considering you can pre order the unreleased Samsung 990 pro 2tb for ($1) cheaper using a student email or certain corporate emails (Telstra, CBA and others)
