Looks like Shopback is having a flash sale at 6pm AEDT with 25% cashback on $100 Deliveroo gift cards and 20% cashback on other denominations.

Update: Limit of 1 gift card at 25%. No limit at 20%.

          I have the same issue, deliveroo GC says valid until 14 Aug 2026, and the deliveroo account says Expires on 9 September 2026

          • @CodeXD: Same discrepancy on my side. There are similar discrepancies with a few of my previous orders.

            The purchases tab > documents doesn't seem to provide the expiry dates? I've sourced expiry dates as stated by Shopback from the email receipts that have been sent out.

              I can see valid till date at the bottom

              It also has date and time of purchase, and Order no.

              • @CodeXD: Hmm, not showing for me. I suspect it's because I marked the card as "used", since I added it to Deliveroo (but didn't actually use it).

                  @poppingtags: Ah I see. I just marked my gift card as used and the 'Valid till' has been replaced with 'Used on 21 Nov 2022'

                  I suspect the 'valid till' date is from SB and tells you how long you have to add it to your deliveroo account. The expiry on deliveroo is how long you have to use it after you have added.

                    Looks like you can also request the email receipt again via the "get receipts" button in the documents tab.

                      @poppingtags: Hey mate, please supply both if you can, the more info the better here! It looks like the expiry dates are batched by Deliveroo and some discrepancies are expected, so please supply both if possible.

      Hey all! Just had a quick update from the team, we also if that users share the voucher code for the gift card as well, even if redeemed, you should still be able to find this in our app under the "See voucher details" option when viewing a used card in your purchases. If you could send that through, as well as the payment method used to purchase the gift card if you know as well, will again save me time getting these sorted. Thanks again all!!

      • What specific details would you need for "payment method" used? Would Visa/Mastercard Debit/Credit card be sufficient?

          Yeah just whether you used a credit card or paid with Cashback, or if a combo of both. No need to be more specific than that.

      On point 3. Doesn't the single screenshot of the vouchers and credit screen provide both balances and the validity period for all cards?

        We wouldn't ask you to jump through them if we didn't think we were going ahead with this, if you've got all the info and have a pending balance we will sort you out :)

      Should I do this as well? Or is the email I sent this morning good enough?

        @damage and @freestyle18, so sorry for the update here, I've had a look at the process on customer service's end and this is turning into and absolutely monumental job, so the form has been created so that we can get this done in a reasonable timeframe.     • Technically you haven't lost but actually made money so why would you get anything back. Don't submit a claim

    • I don't understand why your account would be negative based on what you said. Did you do a credit chargeback and worried about the $25 cashback you received?

      My understanding of GYB's comment is that Shopback will refund the Deliveroo gift card balance minus the cashback. So for example, for $20 Deliveroo gift card balance that was purchased during the 20% cashback promo you would get refunded $16.

      Hey mate, I don't think we'd be able to help here if your current balance is less than the paid Cashback amount, I'm afraid.

      Just trying to work out if they working on this based on who logged tickets earliest or if it is fairly random….

    I submitted all screenshots to GYB within 30 mins of them posting the requirements.

    Why do we need to redeem/load unused giftcards to deliveroo app before we get a redund? Does that make sense, if a company has gone under, the giftcard redeem page should be disabled. Why people still can load?

      Need I remind you that this company just proper scammed us, I don’t think that ‘disabling the gift card page’ was high on their priorities list…

      There's no way to prove that you haven't redeemed the deliveroo GC and ordered $100 worth of food already.

      This way, SB can at least see that you have available credit in your account.

    sent all the details yesterday no communciation so far other than an automated reply. How long does it take to get the refund?

    • With the amount of emails and requests they’re receiving atm, please give ShopBack and the team some patience to get back to you since you just submitted it yesterday

      PS - I sent a message to GYB the minute I heard Deliveroo went into administration. Gave it a few days and I had to resubmit a Google Form to fill out more details since I forgot to provide the screenshots of the second code

  • Maybe the automatic closing of tickets by shopback should be reviewed?
    I uploaded all the screenshots yesterday and didn't get a response on that but did get a generic reply today that the ticket is closed.

    It has been about four days since we heard from you regarding your ticket. So we've determined it's probably safe to mark it as solved.

    If this is not the case, feel free to respond to this email, and your ticket will be re-opened.

          The system probably monitors replies to tickets by itself (not the google form that was submitted).

    I looked at the instructions from shopback and contacted them a few times.

    The multiple screenshots and process for 9x $20 gift cards takes 1-2 hours and is quite difficult.

    I don't understand why I cannot just send a screenshot of my deliveroo account showing the credit. I have to provide 18 screenshots .. if I use their form. It seems a little excessive.

  • I bought $200 in October at 20% off, then another $200 at 20% in November just before the collapse. I guess they have only refunded one of the transactions only, eve though I submitted all the things for both of the transactions at the same time. Might keep waiting for a few days for the other transaction to get refunded as well

    • I'm in the same boat where the amount I have received is less than the amount spent (over multiple transactions) minus cashback and spent cards.

      Will also wait a few days before contacting as they are probably processing alot of transactions.

        I'm in the boat where our household spent $600 and got so far $0 refund.(went through all the requested processes of screenshots and Google forms too).
        Anyway I'm planning to wait untill the mentioned period for refund is over, SB is probably refunding in batches.

          Hey mates, I'd definitely wait until the processing period is over as it may be taking some time to be processed by your bank here. Secondly, I'd take stock of the payment method you used to purchase the cards, as these refunds are heading back to the original payment method so may be split across a couple.

              @poppingtags: The refunds were actioned by us yesterday and today, and the processing window can be up to 15 days (particularly over the busy/holiday period), so it's closer to the 23rd I'd say!

            I can see refund as pending in CC and also cashback pending in my account (I followed the process for some cards to get refund via cashback because I don't have access anymore to them).
            I'm assuming getting the cashback to approved will only be a few days after it's added, but I'll just check back in a few days.

            Appreciate the effort SB did to get this refunded.

          I just got my refund back today! I did not get any emails or such to confirm refund is processed so its worth keep an eye on the original payment card.

        • Checked my credit card transactions and noticed I got the refund from Shopback for the purchase of the Deliveroo gift cards minus the cashback a few days ago. Didn't get an email notification from Shopback so just gotta keep an eye out on your bank transactions.

        From my experience it seems like they have a lot of transactions/are doing them in batches. Hang in there and if I were you and still not received by the 15 business days stated then defo contact and I'm sure they'd facilitate the refunds
