  • Worth holding off for the XT version?

    • +1

Should see 6700XTs around $550 soon

        I'm HODLing until 6700 XT < $500.

        I hope it happens.

      6600 ~$300 - done
      6600 XT ~$350 - done
      6700 XT ~$500 - waiting
      6800 XT ~$700 - waiting
      6900 XT ~$900 - done

6700 XT is about 10% faster than a 6700 so this card is worth $450

      $479 is a good price

Yeah the 6700 @$500 "deals" have been up for over a week now without selling out, I think there is room for better deals, hopefully on black Friday? Only thing potentially holding that back may be the weaker AUD, but definitely can't hurt to HODL.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on the 6600 xt, 6700, or 6700 xt at that those prices you mentioned, or the 6650 xt at $400.

        • +1

Likewise, I've got a full PC sitting there less a GPU. Gagging for a deal

          • +1

@funk44: I was in the same situation. I got 6700 xt for $600 a few months back. Figured better deals would come along, but didn't have the patience for $100 or so saving.

            • +1

@iamherenow: That's very fair, would do the same in that situation, but got my trusty rx570 still kicking along without too much dramas

6600 XT for $350 'was' done, but not available now.

        Hopefully it returns for BF.

        • +6

If it isn't returning then I'll consider BF a fail.

The higher end cards are also less efficient (more watts of energy used per TFLOP of performance) so you could argue that you should only pay 9% more for a card that is 10% faster.

I know this is a minor point, but it's been a factor for me lately as I've been making smaller PCs with less capacity for cooling (and one that runs off batteries in a van).

      • 6700xt has been 530.. I think it should get there soon

    • I wouldn't pay more then 10% over this deal for one, $550 at a stretch. Performance difference is about 10% on average.

    • Who knows. Don't get scared by scummy people into panic buying due to "China/Taiwan war" or "chip shortages". Some people on here will try to scare you into buying now, because this keeps buyer demand up which stops nvidia/AMD dropping prices, and they don't want the price of the gpu they paid 2k for to harshly drop. They're on here commenting for their interests not yours

Just keep an eye on crypto and buy your gpu before the next cycle. Personally if I had a GTX 1060 or faster I would wait 4-5 months for the x60/x70 cards of the new gen.

These cards are over 2 years old and cost no less than when they launched in 2020.The end of crypto has merely returned us to launch prices and it's still a bad time to buy. We should have a new gen at these prices.

The 5700xt was $499 in Nov 2020.The 2070 super was $559 with free SSD. 3070ti is still like $900 lol. So I would wait for a sub $400 3060/6600xt and ignore the overpriced higher models.

    Great price

  • +2

    HODL

  • +2

3060ti is about 5% faster than this in comparison and that's at 599. So still 100 dollars cheaper after accounting for the speed difference and it has 2 extra gbs of vram.

    • 3060ti only has 8gb ram? or is that what you meant?

      • Yeah 3060ti is 8gb vram, non ti 3060 is 12gb.

    • -1

Both are overpriced, overated, and old.

For $480 it's missing the XT

good price, 6700xt now $599. Waiting for sub $559

  • I HODL when the RX 6900 XT was $900~ on Amazon, will it come back down to that price again?
