    No java support, no interest.

At least the 5710 XA or whatever it's called has built in earphones. I'm fine with him for my Nokia fix at the moment

Make a full blackberry esque QWERTY phone, or make a full java phone, otherwise idc anymore

Still more computing power than the space shuttle!

If it damages after cracking a walnut, I'd only spend no more than $30 for it.

  • it's quite handy when you want to control you browsing time and the battery last like a week

Or if you want to punish a teenage child who has been pestering you to get them a smart phone.

i have one of these and the battery is nothing special

Only thing good I see is “69” 😜

  • Can you create a wifi hotspot with this? Would be a great travel phone if possible

    • +1

What exactly makes a crappy phone like this with no app support a “great travel phone”?

      • So you can make phone calls?

        • +4

Use a mobile phone to make calls? That ludicrous idea will never catch on.

You dont GAF if you lose it or its stolen.

    • $34.00 delivered for a portable WiFi modem here (Optus Locked)

    • Does not have Wi-Fi at all.

    Should be $20

  • Is this good phone as a spare /emergency? I just want an el cheapo phone to hold a spare sim on the telstra network in case my main, optus, has an issue.

    • Good as a 'dumb phone' if you don't want to be tracked.

My parents have these. They are fine for the basics of calls/messaging. But that's about it.

    Thanks OP

  • bought the sand colour from officeworks in june. wouldn't mind another but not giving gerry harvey any of my money. i'll wait for another amazon price drop instead

Have a family member that uses this. Not a great phone imo. It had trouble charging after 6 months, and I had to reflow the microusb jack to get it working again.
Because its 4G, it chews through battery fairly quick. One of the big things people liked about the 3310 was the battery life was about 2 weeks with light use. This lasts maybe 2 1/2 days. You can extend it to almost a week by disabling the 4g though

  • I was planning to buy this at Amazon. I wondered why it was suddenly out of stock. It got ozbargained, LOL.

oh nice - old school design - I have a friend who is a farmer that was looking to replace his old one that just died. this'll do nicely …. thanks OP.
