Rip Curl is helping families with the cost of living and giving you up to $25 free money to spend on whatever you want

So here is what i did to get a pair thongs, trucker caps and totes bag shipped express for free to my house.

Start Here and Sign up:

Get a $20 coupon on sign up with min spend of $20.01 to redeem

1. Sign up with link https://www.ripcurl.com/au/explore/club-rip-curl.html
note that you can enter any birthdate and you will get your $20 regardless as per T&C
2. In your account click on "club rip curl" link, scroll down and look for the birthday voucher and redeem it. You now have a $20 voucher. This might take a minute or so to appear. Even if it's not your bday today you get it now.

Get 10,000 points = $5 by adding your preferences (and complete your profile)

3. In Club Rip Curl, Look for "Add your preferences", fill out your preferences, put whatever, save it
4. In Profile, ensure you have everyting filled out including post code, save it, as there are two tabs ensure both are complete, member info and preferences, I initially didn't have my postcode saved and it wasn't obvious so you need to complete both.
5. Voila now you got a $5 credit plus your $20 voucher so $25 in total to spend

Grab your free stuff

6. Picked a Cap for $19.95 (you can get socks, thongs, caps, kids stuff etc for under $20) or just buy whatever and use your credit for it and pay for the rest
7. Added the $1.99 tote to get over $20 so i can redeem the coupon tote here: https://www.ripcurl.com/au/womens/equipment/backpacks-bags/2…
8. Reedemed the coupon and paid the rest with the $5 credit in the checkout and got the cap and tote for free
9. Bingo!
10. Select Free Express Shipping for orders over $10 so it should turn up Monday or Tuesday i guess depends on where you live

So in total $25 smackeroonies and don't need to spend a cent of your own money.

Thank you for helping us with the cost of living.

Get in there, i'm sure this deal will be ozbargained in 30 mins. Family of 3 now each has caps and thongs and totes ready for the summer. All my orders shipped already…offer ends tonight.

Is the $20 coupon for signing up or for birthday?

    • +1

yes but it's instant, you get it within minutes in your account (not in email) even if today is not your bday.

Score a $20 Birthday Voucher Instantly when you sign up to Club Rip Curl.
One day only. Offer ends midnight Friday 11th November 2022

  • Is it supposed to pop-up on this page? Doesn't appear to show for me

    • yes, give it a minute, refresh or do step 2 and come back and it will be there. Must be some kind of batch job or whatever, it will appear on the bottom of the page where you can redeem your bday voucher

  • Bit of virtue signalling to say they’re helping with cost of living when you need a minimum spend isn’t it?

If that were really the case then there would be no minimum spend. Otherwise it’s just plain marketing…

Edit: realising that the first paragraph were your words not theirs :P

    • +2

yep, i'm sure they didn't intent to give stuff away, their marketing department stuffed this one up probably and have two promos running at once :)

Out of interest, what does your member number end with? There isn't 60k+ people who just signed up surely..

Lmao don't worry downvoter I'm not going to try hack your account 😂

    • This post has 1240 clicks FYI.

      • Yeah, I understand that. I also understand there's not a one account limit per person and there's a link in description that doesn't get clicks counted. Furthermore, people will share the link. For example, OP must've made at least 6 accounts. So click count is quite meaningless.

Don't see why it's an unreasonable question unless people are salty they haven't got to make an account yet?

        • Well, in the context of considering whether 60k+ people just signed up, it's not quite meaningless.

          • @Aidan0098: Okay so we'll go with your estimate exactly 1240 people signed up in an hour lol. I'd really hope that the servers could cope with more traffic than that otherwise it would be hopelessly easy to DDoS.

Then again, we aren't exactly known for our cybersecurity. Well, not for good reasons anyway. At least we make good case studies for overseas universities.

All this thread has done was make me think basic cybersecurity knowledge should be mandatory to learn in schools.

            • @pennypincher98: That isn't my estimate, lol. Likely many more did, but 60k+ is in another world.

              • @Aidan0098: That's why I said surely 60k didn't sign up. 60k isn't my estimate. My member number was 0000060000 so I asked a question which I forgot we can't do on the internet. Never did I say 60k definitely signed up.

Now I'm thinking about it more it could be the sign up attempt and the server constantly going on/offline meant it took multiple tries to work.

They aren't random number generators lol, it's code so that number means something. You act like you know a lot more on the matter, so what does it stand for?

  • 2 hours later it's done.

Fingers crossed the order comes through!

  • +2

For those who didnt get the $5 credit make sure you save the postcode. Like op said the postcode was missing and I had to enter it and save it. Only then I got it.

    • Yes, after I put my postcode, the points came through straight away

      • Where do you enter the postcode? When you enter a shipping address?

        • In Profile, ensure you have everything filled out including post code, save it, as there are two tabs

          • @stefanko: Cheers. So slow to load every page, quicker to just go directly there by asking rather than navigating and finding it haha.

  • +1

How long does the $20 coupon code last?

  • +1

I pressed save on profile after putting in the info, but I just get an error message after lots of loading and still no points. Been at it for 2-2.5hrs it feels.

    • +1

      Just keep trying.

13 minutes left till it expires

  • what's the list of cheap items you can get under $10?

    • You've got $25 to spend, and it needs to be above $20.01. I got a wallet + pair of invisi socks for $24.98.

Tote bag is $1.99. Stickers and Ankle socks $4.99. Stubby Holders $9.99. Everything else is $10+ I think.
If you don't know what to get, how about a multipack of socks?

  • +1

    Site is getting smashed

  • Got my order in with a minute to spare cheers OP.

  • success- Got 2x tote bags and a wallet.
(didn't use cashrewards this time because I didn't want to increase the chance of my order getting cancelled, since ripcurl would've lost more money)
