  • Finally got through! Got an email confirmation of my order for the socks and a bag, for $2 not bad at all.
Turns out my 10,000 points just got added, but after I already placed an order.

  • So annoying: the website crashed 3 times when trying to take payment, and I lost the $5 in points. Had to part pay argh.

  • Legend! Great find.
Got me flip flopps and tote 🤙

  • I did got the confirmation for signup. It just shows 147 points. I m missing something? I did updated the address .

  • Birthday voucher still works

    • What about the $5 credit, I see no option for it at the payment?

      • Still works too

        • How to apply it, see no option at the payment screen?

  • How do I even add something to the cart? Does the 'Add to cart' button only appear once you get past the loading screen (alternating between the Rip Curl logo and a red dot)?

    • +2

If you're using Firefox, that is the issue. I had to use a chromium browser to be able to add anything to card.

      • That was my exact issue! Used safari and it worked perfectly. Thanks :)

  • For people this worked for…did it require you to add in card details even if the order total was $0?

    • No! It shows no payment needed

      • +1

        Username checks out lol

      • +1

Strange…it won't let me checkout without entering card or afterpay deets even though my order total is 0.

  • Oh whoops I just realised I forgot to add a number to my address. Oh well, might have to email them about it ugh…

  • +1

still works so its not expired…

  • Thanks OP. Still works - finally ordered a $25 wallet for free to be express delivered.

    • +1

Wallets are PU. They wont last long

      • half decent is good enuf . have lots of socks and undies

        • +1

Dont think PU is even half decent.
Ive seen these in the shops before somewhere and they didnt feel right.

  • +2

Finally managed to place my order, got a new wallet! Thanks OP

  • +1

Hope they actually honour this stuff up. Keen for my $0 new socks!

  • Seems to be working even now.

  • Doesn't accept my voucher anymore

    • Voucher is added at the bottom as a promo code. Not in the gift card section that also requires a pin. I just placed an order now. Took half an hour as website crashed. I paid $1 for underwear. Order confirmed via email. Took another 5 minutes.

  • Still works. I placed some orders for free. 2.36am SA time.

  • Looks its now removed…Banner still there before signing up but nothing anymore in Rip Curl Club. R.I.P Ripcurl!

  • +3

went back for more but can confirm bday voucher offer has stopped even though it's still advertisded. Can only get the $5 credit now, meh… thanks for my freebies but looks like this website is built and hosted by a bunch of hacks and the offer cooked up by genius newbs with no experience…not worth my while. still flip flopping this morning "Sorry for the inconvenience but we’re performing some website maintenance at the moment… If you need to you can always contact our customer service teams, otherwise we’ll be back online shortly!

  • Thanks OP, I signed up 7 minutes after you posted the deal but the website was getting demoralised. Placed an order just now for a straw hat for $4.99

    https://www.ripcurl.com/au/icons-straw-hat.html#754=1912

  • I'm so bummed. I got the bday voucher after signing up but site was too slow so couldn't place an order (and was too tired by that time). Woke up this morning and my bday voucher is gone! Wish I took a screenshot of it

    • I had the same issue last night so waited til this morning. I could still see my birthday voucher in the club ripcurl section of their website.

      • Thank you! I went digging and found it on the page u mentioned. Managed to place an order… Much appreciated!

  • +1

I got the voucher last night but the site was too slow to place an order.

Kept the code and tried this morning and it worked.

    Thanks OP!

  • Signed up last night , voucher still appeared in account. Used it and the $5 to get a free 5 pack of socks express delivered. Thanks OP

  • You can still sign up and wait till your birthday to get $20. Quote: Annual Birthday Gift: members will receive a $20 Voucher for purchases of Rip Curl products from Rip Curl Stores. This birthday voucher will be an electronic voucher with a 30 day expiry

  • It is working again today 12/11/22 if you could not order last night and got stuck try again

    • Do you mean signing up now will still give you $20? That isn't advertised on the home page anymore.
      P.S. Saw your edit.

  • Working today - I signed up last night just before it ended at midnight - redeemed my voucher and got the bonus 10,000 points this morning and was able to buy something now all for free. Oh and free shipping- Thanks OP!

    • Same here. Got the voucher last night. Just ordered some thongs now. All good thanks OP

  • +3

If you spend more than the $25, use this AmEx offer for 15% back on the balance.

  • Guessing it's expired now?

I got my 5 bucks voucher, but don't have the birthday voucher under rip curl club, sad face!
    :(

    • +2

You will still get $20 on your birthday though.

  • yeah… they've been ozbargained + everyone ordered at once. Think their will be some discounts after xmas etc so could probably get the shirts or a hoodie for $20 if it's reduced. Quality is better than other brands imo.

    • They will probably enforce a min spend for voucher by then.

And also they probably wont have much sizes left too

  • Got the $20 but no $5 points for completing the profile? Does it take a while? Profile says 100% completed.

    • Make sure you go into your profile and add your postcode as well. I only realised after ordering and seeing a comment on here. Then the points should show up pretty much instantly.

      • Yep. Did that, even put in billing and delivery addresses. Nada so far!

        • Did you add your preferences they ask about how often you surf, fave athlete and whether you voted for scomo etc.

          • @dins: Everything they asked for. Must have just been a glitch. Ah well.

            • @seraphim2017: Check the two tabs
              Add your postcode
              And your grandma's birth place

              • @MrBillions: Completed member details and preferences. Can't see where to add granny's birthplace and wouldn't know it anyway! 😂.

  • Btw cheers OP great find! 🍻

  • +1

Thanks OP, nice find. Let’s hope it’s getting honored. I believe the average Ozbargainer had in the moment of this deal a huge family of 12…

  • -1

Can confirm. Deal still working. Just ordered $25 of stuff. Thanks Rip Curl!!

  • Hi,

Unfortunately, as per the terms and conditions of Club Rip Curl, your recent Rip Curl order has been flagged as fraudulent.

Under Club Rip Curl > Section: Vouchers: Dot Point: 12
‘Additional Vouchers may be issued with such validity periods and on such additional or alternative terms as Rip Curl in its absolute discretion imposes and any such terms will to the extent of any inconsistency, override the above terms.’

In addition. Email communications upon sign up on the 11/11 clearly outlined the single use of birthday vouchers – ‘Terms and Conditions apply. Instant Voucher redeemable for 30 days beginning the 11/11, offer forfeits remaining birthday vouchers in 2022.’

If you believe that you have been wrongfully flagged of fraudulent behaviour, please reply to this email by 12am Wednesday the 16th of November. Your order will otherwise be cancelled.

    Kind Regards,

    Rip Curl Customer Service

    • +4

I'm confused. RIP offered the birthday voucher to everyone. What was fraudulent?

      • -2

He made more than 1 account so i'd say its fair.

        • There are others who got the same email but I don't know if they also had more than one account. Technically you could have each member in the family sign up. That would be all loyalty programs. RIP didn't limit to one household only. I made one order but it hasn't been shipped yet. Could still be cancelled.

          • -2

@trixieb: Other people in the household should be making their own accounts and not someone person making accounts for them.

    • +2

Their reasoning for it being "fraudulent" is comical. Do they know what fraudulent means?

I understand the cancellation, fairo, happens all the time due to errors, but to label it "fraudulent" and put the blame on the customer is uncool.

      • Yes I won’t support or buy this brand in future. Not a single cent from me…. Anyway, got anybody else this message!?

        • I didn't get the email but my order has not been shipped yet too.

        • +1

          Not Yet. Not shipped either.

        • Got it. Unsure why they flag my order as fradulent, its pretty rude tbh

      • +2

Not surprised this happened. At least I didn't spend beyond $25 so I don't have to fuff around waiting for a refund. No money out, no money in

    • +1

We are all going to prison.

      • Like the Seinfeld Finale!

      • +1

Don’t drop the soap. We won’t wear rip curl thongs in prison that’s for sure!

        • Dang. My RIP underwear that I paid $1 may be cancelled.

          • @trixieb: They will cancel the whole freaking lot. Piss poor reaction tbh. They are just working through the orders I think.

            • +1

@Thrifty Dan: Give them some work to do!

              • @trixieb: At least their mistake (what is it anyway?!) will cost them money. That will teach them a lesson not letting kids to run the page.

                • @Thrifty Dan: We are in their database. I wonder if we get $20 birthday voucher next year or are we blacklisted now?

          • -1

@trixieb: You might have to stand naked in the prison shower!

      • Received the email, police are here too. See you guys in prison. Free accommodation and free food for life.

        • +1

Relieved of all charges no need to go to prison. Oder dispatched.

          • @Iluvfreebies-freeDel: Is this another order that got dispatched? Thought you got the fraudulent email.

            • +1

@trixieb: One order. I replied back saying this is not a fraudulent order. You provided the code on sign up. Please dispatch order.

    • -1

Did you make more than 1 account?

      • -1

Who hasn’t? It’s ok to have different people in a house…

        • -3

I didn't. They have every right to cancel your order and say its fraudulent then.

  • Not sure if my order will go through but will keep an update! However, I recently used their live chat in regards to my order missing a number for the address and I had to wait a whole half an hour just to get a response even though it says it takes approximately 7 mins for cs to respond. They probably only have 1 person operating the live chat. But in the end they fixed it but wasn't that suspicous about the order.

  • +1

So did anybody got the message I received yet?

    • Haven't yet but it'll probably come soon. What time did you order?

      • I ordered just at 0:00 lol

  • Haven’t received the email yet and order hasn’t been updated

  • I just asked Live Chat (2 mins wait) how long before my order will be shipped.
Reply from Sally: It can take up to 72 business hours for your order to be despatched,

My order may still be cancelled. I ordered on 11/11 Perth time but 12/11 AEST.

  • -1

    Got the fraudulent email.

I basically replied that personal information harvesting is fraudulent behaviour and i woule be filing a complaint with fair trading for compensation

    Lol

    • They should just give us their cheap stuff…
