Get a $20 coupon on sign up with min spend of $20.01 to redeem

note that you can enter any birthdate and you will get your $20 regardless as per T&C
2. In your account click on "club rip curl" link, scroll down and look for the birthday voucher and redeem it. You now have a $20 voucher. This might take a minute or so to appear. Even if it's not your bday today you get it now.

Get 10,000 points = $5 by adding your preferences (and complete your profile)

3. In Club Rip Curl, Look for "Add your preferences", fill out your preferences, put whatever, save it
4. In Profile, ensure you have everyting filled out including post code, save it, as there are two tabs ensure both are complete, member info and preferences, I initially didn't have my postcode saved and it wasn't obvious so you need to complete both.
5. Voila now you got a $5 credit plus your $20 voucher so $25 in total to spend

Grab your free stuff

6. Picked a Cap for $19.95 (you can get socks, thongs, caps, kids stuff etc for under $20) or just buy whatever and use your credit for it and pay for the rest

8. Reedemed the coupon and paid the rest with the $5 credit in the checkout and got the cap and tote for free
9. Bingo!
10. Select Free Express Shipping for orders over $10 so it should turn up Monday or Tuesday i guess depends on where you live

    This is "fraudulent"!
    An investigation by a large media company revealed over the weekend that the Australian surf label Rip Curl has been busted for manufacturing jackets in North Korea. Items from the label's 2015 mountainwear range were marked with false "Made in China" labels and shipped to a clothing store.
    The issue, of course, is that North Korea is far from a workers' paradise. Factory employees face long hours at minimal or no pay. If they don't obey orders or refuse to work, they can be sent to prison camps. Then on the other end of the supply chain, a women's Rip Curl ski jacket retails at around $400 [$289 USD].
    In light of this recent discovery Rip Curl responded with this apology on Facebook, using the term "screw up" twice.

    This "catch me if you can" attitude of Rip Curl is particularly damning. If they were serious about accountability then they should have made it public when they first found out, rather than trying to keep it quiet until Fairfax Media broke the story. The kind of apology that Rip Curl put up on their website is run of the mill, and inspires no confidence that they have learned any sort of lesson, much less committed themselves to more rights responsible production of their products in the future.

    Got this email about an hour ago: Your Rip Curl order is on its way. (Express post)
    I placed one order at 2am. I'm in Perth so it was still 11 Nov. Paid $1.
    Perhaps it's the multiple orders at the same address that are being cancelled.

    Update, my order is on its way! I only made one account, so maybe people who made mutiple accounts got their order cancelled but you can correct me if I am wrong. They probably had a look at the delivery address.

  • I have a big property with different street numbers and different people at my address. Delivery addresses, names and emails were all different.

    This was a marketing fail as RIP was ozbargained in one evening. The email could have been worded better. Most households have 2 or more people so it's reasonable to have more than 1 sign up. I would have been offended too if I received the "fraudulent" email.

  • Pretty happy that my order was shipped. Was really needing some new socks but they're one of those things I just don't like paying for. Makes me wonder, I wonder what the criteria was for having your order revoked? I assume it may have been for orders after 11/11/2022 and/or multiple orders to the same address.

      Seems to be multiple orders although Amanda1992 here had 2 orders shipped to the same address.
      My order at 2am AEST 12/11 has been shipped.

    • Multiple orders to same address but they may have used other data as well like using the same payment details but anyones guess.

    Well I have to say the whole family gets obviously their orders now. I just received this on 2 orders which have been flagged as fraud:

  • @MrBillions Just contacted RIP via live chat. More than 30 mins wait although it had - replies within 9 mins.
    This is RIP's (Taya) reply: You can still receive a birthday voucher if you sign up and on your birthday month you will receive a voucher! It is still a $20 voucher but you will only receive it on the first of the month for your birthday.
    Me: If your birthday is in December and you sign up for the $20 voucher on the 11 Nov promo, do you get still get both vouchers?
    RIP: There will only be 1 voucher.

    Just had 1 of my 3 order ship. This was from an account that never did received the fraud email.
    The 1 account that did, received the same response as @Thehairpolice 's.
    Hopefully the other 2 ship soon.

          How long did it take to put through 6 orders? I spent more than half an hour on 1 order for 1 item. Couldn't face putting through 2nd order and went to bed.

      Is the $25 attached to free express delivery regardless of when you use it?
      Can the $25 can be used in store?

      I only made 3 orders, one for my gf and 2 for myself, I guess sure maybe I should’ve only made one, but just a bit confused as they gave no reasoning at all and just said it’s cancelled. Not sure whether it’s worth it or not to keep replying.

    • Why wouldnt they? It was a proper promotion they were running on 11/11. The free express shipping for orders over $10, may have been a mistake though as its now $50 and not express unless it was oart of the promotion. They probably just didnt know how to deal with people making multiple accounts.

  • I'm a bit confused. I hear people saying the voucher is still valid, but it's been removed from the Rip Curl Club page.

  • Mine was shipped yesterday. Tote bag and the 5pk socks for $2. I would have been super annoyed if they didnt fulfil the order as it took me around 2hrs to complete the checkout.
