Its not a bargain if there is no stock available or the suppliers website is down.
I don't consider myself to be a loser as you suggest I am, I'm just disappointed there is no stock available and that I have been unable to log into the COTD website.
I believe offering a promotional product when you know supply will well outstrip the demand (bait advertising) is also illegal in many states.

It is a FACT that the server is unreachable. How can the Wii be sold out?? You have to get through multiple pages in order to actually buy it. Its just not possible with the type of load we're seeing. IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Pretty poor performance from COTD. You would think that if they wanted to reward their customers they would've sent access codes to those who have actually purchased anything from them in the past.

Apparently the Wii's are all gone. When I found out what the previous special items were I did not refresh to avoid stressing the server. Hopefully I will be able to salvage something out of the night. If you've already got something, I kindly ask you not to be greedy and give some of us a chance at getting a camera or GPS. Thank you.

Someone who "WORKS" for Catch of the Day. Apparently he's out the back having his way with the secretary today, instead of ordering a server that doesn't run at 28k baud.
Having a look at other forums, no one have got through in the half hour since listed, lets see if it shows up as 'SOLD OUT' by the end of the hour. if thats the case something is really fishy about COTD promotion. Unethical and breaking business law for sure.

this sucks hard…. i have been on COTD for 7.5hours while at work and still got nothing… QQQ please explain. Please offer some more WII's to us loyal customers that have been here all day supporting COTD birthday bash and this is how we are repaid?????? with absolutley nothing.

That has happened to me today on The Chopper, DVD Player, Steam Mop and now Wii.
I click on them as soon as the Catch starts and Bite Them and it sits there loading and loading. My Wii is still sitting here loading since the start :(
It's amazing how savage people can get - survival of the fittest - but then again COTD KNEW that they would get hammered - perhaps they should upgrade the poor 386's? Pentium 100's are a lot better, but also be sure to upgrade the hosting to 56kbps for optimum performance.

Bait advertising doesn't have to include the "switch" simply knowing you don't have sufficient stock for a promotion may be interpreted as being "bait" advertising.
Plus I see a little complaining on here as harmless fun - since we can't log onto COTD whats the problem with coming on here for a bit of a grizzle - doesn't really hurt anyone.
In fact it makes me feel a bit better.

I saw the Wii the very first second it came on, and like everyone else, I was unable to get past "Bite Me," and for this reason, I refuse to believe that anyone has successfully purchased a Wii. Of all these forums I am reading about this so-called "birthday bash", no one has gotten past "Bite Me".
