This is crazy cheap for an ATX 3.0 PSU. I paid $369 for this 3 weeks ago :(

    • Same here…Black Friday should come earlier

AMD's GPU can save you from upgrading PSU.

  • Seems to retail for US$200 and be well reviewed so this is certainly a good deal.

What is the point when your 4090 is just going to melt?

    • This has it's own 16pin cable, so no need for melting adapters

      • 12VHPWR 16 pins are melting as well 🥵 -https://www.tomshardware.com/news/rtx-4090-native-16-pin-melting

  • showing temporarily out of stock, but can still place an order

Picked one up (temp OSS but not in a hurry).

    Thanks OP

  • Apart from the PCIE 3.0, how is this different to the 1000w titanium superflower leadex from this deal?

The old model would be ATX 2.4 certified at best. It MAY be good enough to actually meet the new ATX 3.0 certification, if they were to now submit it but unlikely. ATX 3.0 standards arequite demanding. It's also needed for the new gen Nvidia cards at the moment, and the 3090 TI.

Old model is also missing the infamous new 16 pin connecting cable.

      • Hey B3 thanks for the advice! I was more so looking at the difference specifically between the super flower and the new MSI mpg ATx 3.0 psu

        • +1

This model is likely to be better at handling brief power spikes, but I haven't seen any detailed testing yet so it's possible the superflower is just as good.

On another subject I strongly suspect this deal was just price matching a MSI MPG A1000G price. The old model and the new model have extremely similar names and the Amazon price matching algorithm confused them.

There's no other reason for Amazon to sell and very new and in demand product like this so cheaply.

Price is back up to $359 :(
