I cannot bring myself to signing up with any of these pay later services, even for the savings. Anyone else concerned about their credit?

    • Same here, maybe I should hand in my OzB membership 😩

    • +2

I've signed up years ago. There was a credit inquiry but didn't really affect anything.
When I got my home loan last year, the broker just wanted me to close my credit cards. My Zippay account wasn't even mentioned.

    • Offering my two cents here, signed up to like a gazillion bnpl services for the discounts. Currently at 789, never checked before so don’t know if it went down or not. Is that supposed to be good bad or just so and so?

    • I have zip and it’s never showed up as either an enquiry or account on my credit report.

    • -1

Zip (and AfterPay for that matter) isn't mentioned on your credit profile unless you default.

They're the only two I think that don't show up, but I could be wrong.

      • +1

I refinanced this year and the lender could see my Zip account.

        • -2

Zip Money? That's a whole different thing.

      • Zip does, Afterpay does not.

        • Weird. I've had Zip for years and it's not on mine.

    • +2

Zip does a credit inquiry. But does not report the credit.

Latitude Pay does a credit inquiry and also reports the credit.

AfterPay does not do a credit inquiry or report the credit. However this will apparently change.

      • +1

Will this Afterpay inquiry affect existing users?

        • Likely will affect all users, new and old.

    • +1

same boat. never had any and never will

  • Gosh that's a good price for the Boost 🥺

    • Any idea how many GBs we get with it?

      • "Receive 20GB bonus data (260GB in total) if activate by 28 November 2022"
        Otherwise 240GB

  • At last got the airpods, hope they will work fine with my Samsung

    • They do.

They don't have some functionality exclusive to use with iPhones, but the ANC and sound quality work just fine.

      • Yup, tried airpods pro1 before but the mic in calls was horrible, went to apple they said its working fine but only issue is that i am using Android!

  • +2

Thanks OP! Got the airpods for a total of $320.9 after using $325 worth of shop back gift cards.

  • Nice price for the Airpods as the Amazon deal was $319 last time.

  • +1

HODL for better deal on AirPods Pro 2nd Gen or buy now? Hmmmm

    • +1

This looks like the best price since Amazons pre-order deal $319.

      • Yep, that lasted 24hr's I think… Reckon it'd be cheaper in the up coming sale events? E.G black Friday?

      • Not really. There was another cheaper before this at $318 from Allphones eBay, because the seller listed the AirPods as refurbished rather than Brand New to capitalise on the eBay sale

But reports have been saying ppl were getting brand new AirPods sealed

  • +1

Who wanted the 55" C2 OLED for under $2K?

  • Dyson v11 or v12?

    • Depends on what feature you're after and how big your house is.

  • 99 shipping for me for the 42" TV.

  • Building a new PC and managed to pick up some nice parts for the cheap…signed up to ZIP literally just for this sale haha.

    Noctua NH-U12A cooler for $211.65
    Corsair 5000X case for $262.65
    Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6200MHz C36 32GB ram for $390.15

I think they are all time lows for the cooler and the ram?

I know I probably should've waited for Black Friday sale but honestly not sure if I was going to get much better prices for those parts…hope I am right lol.

    • $211 for the noctua seems kinda high? I recall paying under $150 for the D15 and that’s a higher end part…

      • Sorry should’ve specified it was the chromax black version of the U12A.

        • Yeah not worth it, much better coolers on the market for that kind of money. My arctic LF2 420 cost less.

          • @BargainKen: Yea no doubt; I am wanting to stick to air cooling and I was debating between this or the D15 and ultimate decided I don't want to deal with the size of the D15…I know I am paying more for form and aesthetics as opposed to pure cooling performance for the $.

            • @basketballfreak6: Understand, there are much better air coolers for the money out there but its your cash and your free to spend as you see fit. Cooler choice is often governed by what you're trying to cool and how much… some of these newer Intel and Ryzen chips even the D15 would struggle somewhat so a U12 would struggle given its half the cooling area.

              • @BargainKen: I am planning to try undervolting or even just turn on eco mode on the 7700X when I get it…saw a HUB test showing minimum performance loss when eco mode was turned on.

What other air coolers would you recommend? I thought the likes of the D15 and U12A was about as good as it gets?

Is the Boost sim actually a good deal?

Edit: Pulled the trigger as I'm due to renew fairly soon. Cheers OP!

    • if you don't need 5G then yes

      • Doesn't it have 5G?

  • possible to price match through OW for the airpods?

    • +1

Nope, OW only price beat on the price before any coupons applied

      • +1

        Thanks, good to know

  • Anyone check yet if you can stack with gift cards?

    • I did use gift cards on the Boost SIM just then

      • full gift card payment or partial?

        • Partial. $210 on gift cards, remaining $1.65 on Zip wallet

          • @BargainsGrabber: Nice. Need to see what else I want to pick up as it says only one redemption of the code…

  • waiting for Afterpay response, like 20% like last time.

  • +1

    C2 42" price now 2069 - 300 = 1769

Thanks legend. Asked a mate who has a Zip account and now I've got some Airpods on the way!!

  • +1

For those that own the AirPods pro 2nd gen already, would you say that it's worth the price? Looking to get AirPods as a Christmas gift for someone and wondering if paying the extra $100+ from the AirPods 2nd gen is worth it

    • +1

Depends on the use case. I've used the AirPods Pro 1st Gen since release and been using the upgraded 2nd Gens for the past 2 days. If you'll be in a noisy environment often while using earbuds (E.g. train, driving, office), I'd say it's definitely worth the extra money with the Active Noise Cancellation alone. It drowns out background noise quite well for a more pleasurable listening experience saving you from having to turn the volume up (healthier for your ears).

    • Yes it’s worth it. I was weighing this up and it’s only an extra $58-80 to get gen2s based on which seller you go with for gen1s

      • I got my gen 1 for $195. So waiting for gen 2 to go under $300

  • Airpods Pro cheaper here by 5c

  • dreame t30 $424 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/373865939040 - i think lowest ever?

    • Tossing up between this, the Dyson V8 and V12, any thoughts?

      • +1

I went ahead with Dyson V12 because of few things. I want vacuum that will last for the next few years (just like my previous Dyson V6) and V12 is pretty much new model more advanced compared to V8. V12 is slim & lightweight, doesn't hurt my hand when I lift it up with the wand + brush to clean the ceiling (I had Dreame V11 prevoiusly btw, and it's still heavy for me). Yes the bin is small but it suits our place (2 br unit), I don't have to empty the bin per daily run unless I do deep clean including dusting off all surface + vacuuming beds & sofa. The laser light although it sounds gimmick, but it's indeed very helpful. With the bin design, V8 is still the same style as V6 & my Dreame V11 and since I use V12, I find that the bin design of V12 (facing downward) distributes the weight better than the old style design. The freestanding docking station is also great bonus as we never drill wall to attach vacuum. When the vacuum finishes charging, I put it back on the docking station ready to use. Looks like it helps with the battery life, on eco mode I see on the screen it could reach over 70 min on the screen, which is more than the recommended details.

I you have bigger home & isn't after the super lightweight vacuum, maybe you can consider other model too. Each to their own I believe. :)

      • for me, it's mostly down the price because couldn't justify a dyson. I am coming from a cheapo $200 no-name vac from amazon that I've had for close to 5-7 years now.

reviews https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt0OVI72voQ seems to put the t30 somewhere between v10 and v15. parts seem to be readily available on aliexpress; spare battery, filters, roller heads etc. it looks like most parts user serviceable. so i'll likely end up picking up a spare battery and few filters in the future.

at the end of the day i'm reasonably satisfied if it lasts me 5 or so years with some self servicing if needs be.

  • Anyone have experience with Zip Pay over 1000?

Looking at the C2 but reading their website sounds like there's a $99 account opening charge to have a greater than $1000 limit.

  • Can I use gift cards for total payment? Or does at least some of it have to be via Zip?

    • Did this with the C2. Bought $1,800 of gift cards, only allowed $1,500 with the remainder on Zip.

Could be a gift card max rather than a Zip minimum?

  • iphone 14, although says 3 available

Apple iPhone 14 5G 128GB Midnight, Blue, Purple, Starlight, Red - Au Stock
