Because Apple Watch is cheaper than Optus plansPrecisely this. It's still cheaper to buy phone and watch outright from Apple and go with an MVNO than sign up for 36 months with Optus. Particularly if you buy the phone and watch using the 10% back in Flybuys or Woolies points deals on Apple Gift Cards.
Only downside with MVNOs is you can't get a cellular watch plan with them.

I'm currently an Optus user… and their service is really shxx
I had to change my driver's licence but they cut the data offer from my plan
Time to move to another service provider soon.
After the data leaked, I received too many scam texts on WhatsApp, Viber, etc and I got an email from Optus saying my data isn’t effective from data leakage. Also, their service is really shit too. No 📶 whenever I walk into a big building. Already moved to Boost and I'm so happy
Their offer should be buying any Iphone, get Iphone 11 for free with only one month access fee. Similar to Pixel offer
