Have they addressed the left ear bud functioning by itself yet?

    • U mean it works by itself? I thought it's a feature that each bud can work on its own

      • Nah, you need the right bud in for the left to function from previous models.

        • I do have the 7 pro. From reviews I see, it's just means each bud works independently, which is a good thing, no?

          • @siiking: Yep, necessary feature imo, lost my right 85t and the left and case are useless now

  • Might as well get the pro variant for the price as they apparently have a significantly better set of mics.

  • Have had the pro for a few months now. Pretty good for this price. Battery life and the anc works enough, would recommend

    • Any comments on voice call quality? I had to return my 85Ts due to voice calls being literally unusable, so hesitant to jump back on the Jabra wagon.

      • I've heard of issues about the call quality but I've never personally had issues with it. Tried it out indoors only though.

Maybe they fixed it with the firmware update?

        • Yeah I've had my eye on these for a while but the reddit feeds are absolutely full of people complaining about the call quality of these things and that's unfortuantely a risk I just can't take as I use my current buds for calls constantly. I'd say for these if you're not too worried about call quality then they're great, but if call quality is something you care about then it's not worth the risk

      • ditto my 85T were unusable from the mic quality, and the the case stopped deactivating them when stored away. I ended up getting some Sony XM-4s but the fit isn't as good as my old 65T.

    • Not so good with the pro version. Outdoor is terrible and when experience problem either I sound like a robot or I’m underwater or can’t hear me.
Indoor drops out occasionally. Otherwise ok indoor

JB Has also priced matches for local pickup

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/jabra-elite-7-active-anc-…
    The active is cheaper @$159
    Additional delivery fee as required

  • Returned mine, very uneven battery use or drain, one side of my bud keep going down to 0% battery.

Also noticeable delay when watching YouTube

    • Who accepts returns for a product you don't like? I thought they'd only take it back if it's defective or isn't merchandisable quality. I mean it's kind of hard to prove the latter for a return cuz there are clearly a lot of products in the world which are honestly just crap.

      • Amazon - it is deflect as there are delay on audio when watch video. No question ask.

  • If I wanted a pair purely for running. Active over the pro?
Had jaybird vista- loved them and lost them, replaced with Sony wf3-1000 didn’t really like them,
Not great in rain, and keep turning off and on again
A bit too clunky for running

I bought the pro, and from what I read the differences are minimal. I use them quite a lot for answering phone calls (I rarely use just my mobile), so the voice is important to me. AFAIK the ANC is better in active, but I always listen-through when using them anyway.

They both have the same IP resistance, so tbh, as someone who has preferred Active before, I was completely happy with getting the pro and for the Jabra Elite 7, and I would probably recommend it of the two.
