        That makes it a nice price.
        Is the pro worth it over this? Hard to justify the price difference. That said, I was kinda looking towards the ported version as I have a bias towards movies over music.

          There is quite a large jump in price from this deal to the PB1000 Pro model which we sell for $1484. It's actually double the price.

          While the PB1000 Pro will have a little more down in the really low frequencies someone could buy 2 of these SB1000's for the same price with this deal which would yield more even bass across all the seats.

              @gazer: Well comparing the SB1000 vs SB1000 Pro
              The performance of the pro is increased a little with the newer driver.
              Main difference is the svs app which allows you to adjust the settings / profiles from your phone.

    I find it quite odd that my old sb12 subs are 400w and the newer sb1000 is only 300w.

      SVS do have a wide range of subs at different price points. All the way up to the SB/PB16 Ultras which have 1500 watts RMS (5000+ watts peak) amplifiers.

        $1100 delivered. While they were sub $1000 pre-COVID, $1100 is a great price by current standards.

          Just remember that particular model has recently had a $210 price increase, so sadly I don't think you'll see those prices again unfortunately.

              @sessionzero: Yeah was on the 9th of November. Unfortunately the Australian Dollar hasn't been doing us any favours. We've been seeing price increase across a range of brands with more to come over the next few months.

            @JerryGee: Yeah, I would get one at $1100 as well. Hesitated last year… now regretting it

            In US, the price has been reduced to USD 699… the difference here is staggering $450-500

      It's was a great value for money subwoofer at it's previous price but with the 40% off RRP deal it's a bargain.
      It doesn't have quite as much power as the SVS but still goes reasonably low to 30Hz, Monitor Audio also make great products and back them up with a 5yr warranty.
