    I must admit it was nice to buy 1 large voucher and get 10% off the whole lot rather than buying multiple smaller cards with the cashrewards promo then slowly entering them in 1-by-1.

          • @Jav79: I'm in the same boat. I got in touch with customer service and they mentioned the transactions are pending manual approval. Will be approved by end of today according to my CS. Terrible process.

            • @settings: I contacted them yesterday and they gave me the same reason as the one they gave to you, the gift card finally came to through just after 10 last night, over 10 hrs to process.

                      • @dajackal: Nope. Still waiting on it. I purchased it about 44 hours ago now and it's been 24 hours since I contacted customer service. I'm resigning myself to the fact that they'll probably just cancel the order after leaving it in the too hard basket for a few days.

                        • @daanish: Customer service keep pestering me to cancel the order and then leaves the chat as soon as I refuse. Terrible! What am I going to do with all that Amazon credit?

                            One person was in the process of swapping the payment over from the Amazon credit to one of my saved credit cards and then he disconnected. I just want the 10% AirBnB discount really. I'll find other ways to spend the Amazon credit eventually but I just keep getting the cycle of operators and who want to check the history and then disappear before doing anything.

                              @daanish: If they can refund my credit card I'd be OK with that. I'll explore that next time I get in touch with customer service.

                              When I eventually find an operator that is willing to help they keep telling me that they've escalated it for manual verification and I should hear back within 24 hours. It's been 5 days already. Same excuse everyday when I follow up.

                                • @daanish: For anyone who was following this thread. I ended up talking to Amazon Customer support on the phone and trying my luck suggesting a few different options. I tried getting them to replace the payment method on the existing transaction with my credit card instead so I could keep the 10% discount also tried getting them to agree to me buying the card at face value in a new transaction and getting a partial refund of 10% but they didn't come to the party on any of my suggestions. In the end I copped the L and just took the refund of my Amazon credit by having them cancel the order. They gave me a $10 promo discount for the inconvenience. I guess you win some, you lose some.

    • What time did you buy your card and was it the first card or a subsequent card? I bought my second card about 22 hours ago (16:00 AEST) and still nothing through. Contacted CS and got given the standard we'll pass it onto the relevant team, please wait 48hrs before contacting again story.

  • damn, i just went out and bought $1500 worth amazon gift cards only to come home and find out the airbnb gc are now sold out.

    • If you bought the Amazon GCs from Aldi that's still a 10% discount, not as good as the 19% of the double stack (10% into 10%). Also just be careful - as you would have seen in this thread, lots of people have had delays with the second card taking ages to be delivered.

      I've actually had an order cancelled by Amazon and my account locked because I loaded Amazon gift cards and tried to use them buy other discounted cards. They flagged me for fraudulent activity. I would advise seeing if friends or family with amazon accounts could buy 1 card for you as the second card in rapid succession is where it seems things get suss according to Amazon.
