@RichardF89: That was mine. He was still checking with Head Office. I wish I had gone to BigW to get gift cards whilst they had mine on hold. Would have saved me an extra $90.
@jamba: Karrinyup has plenty of $100 active gift cards. I think it is OK for you to come after another because the person who put it at the counter (the one who answered your phone is not the same person work at the counter). The cashier charged me full price at first and I mentioned 10% price beat Harvey Norman then he checked Harvey Norman's website and calc the price with a calculator.

I would pay the extra for the 3 if you're going to be filming a lot. The added features such as active tracking (keeps a highlighted object centred or in view) make it easier for newer flyers to get great looking shots. There's also a bit of a peace of mind with obstacle avoidance for the front and back of the drone.
Yeah have been keeping an eye out on both models for the past week. Pity the DJM3 pack isn't cheaper with the extra batteries.
Amazon mini 2 fly more $758 dropped
Go for the 3, the older Mini2 is a good drone, but in the real world with trees and obstacles I have had signal loss at <500m, where I have flown the 3 out to >5km. This matters more than you think as that one time you loose contact with the 2 it will try to return home, sometimes into exactly the obstacle that is blocking your signal. Having ultra reliable control 100% of the time is 100% worth it.

I wanted the zoom functionality of this compared to the classic, and better low light/dynamic range performance from the MP2. That's what I'm upgrading from as well. I've been waiting for any sort of discount for almost a year, and they just don't go on sale. Then instead of buying the full fly more combo, have just got some ND filters, extra battery (+40min flight time I don't think I'd need 2 spare), a car charging hub and some spare blades.. ~$620.

I've honestly heard mixed things about the M3 as a worthy upgrade to the M2, mainly because of limitations in the DJI software atm.
@dinglejerry: I'm mainly photographer as well. I just like compression in a landscape using more than just a wide angle - both on the ground and hoping now in the air with the M3. And gives a few options of not having to be right on top or next to your subject.
Batteries were $279 each, and yep all separate, just picked and chose what I felt I needed.
I'm giving my MP2 away. It's been very good to me and my business.

So I just wonder whether I can justify the cost investment for a M3 at this stage. I'm going to Iceland / Northern Norway and hiking in the mountains next year, which is why I was considering the M3 but then the M2 is still a very good drone. I also wonder how much trouble I'd have re-selling mine, though it is in good nick.
@Emphasise: I shoot in RAW and then put though lightroom and photoshop fairly quickly to do color balancing, sharpening and detail enhancements + contrast adjustments

Absolutely. I had the FlyMore combo with the original DJI Mavic Mini. So good having two extra batteries and the triple charger. Can't imagine just having one battery, then draining it and then time to stop flying..
The DJI Mini 3 doesn't have a flymore combo. The Flymore combo is a separate product that you can optionally purchase, but there isn't a bundle with the drone.

Yeah the online chat responded back with a link. When you click through it takes you to the buy now page but with the discount/price match applied. Then I just added my $10 perks voucher code in the to get another $10 off and chose click and collect to my nearest store.

How do you charge the battery?
There's a USB-C port next to the SD card slot at the back of the drone. It benefits from fast charging so I tend to use my phone charger.

From what I have seen from the YouTube videos, there are a whole bunch of collision sensors on this model.
Obstacle avoidance is only automatically disabled when you run the unit in sports mode.
