My second time dealing with OW for a price beat. The staff was too lazy to secure one for me and said it will be available to price match instore this afternoon. You can even feel the impatience from the voice. Now the time window closes. WTF! Will see if Amazon is doing promo for this later.
I tried calling my local store to organise it and they said they only do it in store. The main 1300 number was fine though, paid over the phone for collection at my local store.

You should call the 1300 number for price matches or just go straight into store, it's not up to staff to hold something for you specifically.

Shares some of the design with the iPad Air but the 10th gen does not have a laminated display. Which might be important to you.

Honestly I have the 9th gen iPad which is also not laminated and it's fine for me.
Laminated basically means the screen is right up against the glass. If the display is not laminated you can see a few mm gap between the display and the glass. I can only really notice it if looking at the iPad display at an angle. If I am just using the iPad normally I can't notice the gap at all.
iPad 10th doesn't have Fully laminated display, Antireflective coating, Wide colour display (P3), and Pencil 2nd Gen support. It also is heavier and thicker.

I assume you mean iPad Air (gen 4)? Which cost more and is only old stock that would still be for sale? In which case it's a weird comparison to make.

It is also weird to compare 9th and 10th because they are two different form factors and price levels.
@andylch: Coming up as over $1000! even at $889 for 64gb you can't claim that's good value when considering its shorter support period.
